Wonderful stay in a place of understated elegance and refinement.
This is a wonderful place and I have been here only 24 hours thus far. I feel completely spoiled! I am with a group but I arrived a couple days ahead so my stay is four nights rather than two and I just booked a regular room. Such loveliness! The bed is superb- so comfortable! It’s absolutely spotless and beautifully appointed. The cabinets have heavy, fitted wooden doors. When you open them a light goes on. When you close the doors, the light goes off. There is nice shelving- heavy shelving made of real wood. The decorative molding on the cabinets matches the molding on the bathroom door and the door to the room. Windows are plentiful and light streams into this comfortable space, but there is recessed lighting in the ceiling and a modified tray ceiling. A desk and comfortable chair sits in one corner and a drinks table and slightly more comfortable chair sits between the bed and the desk chair. At the foot of the bed is a small, comfortable leather bench. The air conditioning works beautifully. And the bathroom is large and beautiful and has everything needed for a comfortable stay. Recessed lighting also brightens that room and the bathtub is large and deep with a rainforest shower head as well as a smaller hand held sprayer. Towels are thick and lush and so clean. The counter is large and there is shelving for toiletries under the sink. Thick robes are provided in the closet. The shears and matching draperies compliment the paint colors and carpet and the TV is nice.
Breakfast is in a separate area and you must go downstairs to the lobby and further descend into a courtyard to walk to a set of stairs leading to a lovely breakfast room. Big windows. Blue and white ginger jars, nice plain table clothes. Simplicity making for understated elegance. The breakfast choices are vast and absolutely delicious. I had blueberry juice for the first time EVER! Wonderful! It was just such a treat and I have three more nights!
And the staff- warm, welcoming, kind and efficient! Highly recommend! My first time in Finland! What a beautiful place!

Welcoming, relaxed and beautiful with stunning harbour views... Hotel Haven = a winner!
We visited Helsinki for a city trip and a special event. We chose Hotel Haven for the view of the harbor and the intimate atmosphere. That turned out to be a good choice!.
The hotel is in a great location. The world-famous restaurant Kappeli on the Esplanade about 100 meters away: you can't get better.
What a welcome: personal message and chocolate hearts on the bed. Port team: well done! Thank you guys.
The room (Grand de Luxe Harbour Seaview on floor 8) was nothing short of top notch. Nice view, very spacious room and luxurious decor. In summary: great room choice.
Breakfast is in the old stone building on the harbour side. What a beauty! See the last 2 pictures.
Are there any tips? Yes 3. 1: place a handle at the exit bath, so much easier for more and more seniors. 2: open that bar on Sundays too. And 3: put on the site that windows cannot be opened. Incidentally, the climate in the room and elsewhere was top.
Overall an absolute hit in Helsinki and recommended. Not the cheapest, but they have nice deals on their site directly.

Great breakfast. Walking distance to everything. Wonderful staff. Quiet and very clean. Just a lovely, elegant, hotel.

Great boutique hotel with the best ever breakfast buffet
Loved our stay. Our room was comfortable, if a little dated. The Scottish barman was really friendly and welcoming. The highlight was the stunning breakfast served in the heritage building at the rear of the property.

Excellent location and comfortable accommodations
We stayed in the newer section of the hotel. Our room (826) was huge, and the bathroom was equally spacious. Despite the hotel being fully booked, our room was exceptionally quiet.
The bed was comfortable, there was air conditioning, and plenty of electrical outlets were available. The front desk staff were extremely helpful.
There were, however, a couple of shortcomings. The bar is open only four days a week, and the breakfast was below average compared with the outstanding breakfasts we enjoyed elsewhere in Scandinavia.
