Correct but can do better

The location is really convenient, a few minutes walk from the beach and restaurants, and the outdoor setting with the gardens is nice.
On the other hand, we have been disappointed by several points. We had requested a room with a double bed, but had two single beds. The bathroom is old and deserves a good renovation. Breakfast is very basic, with little choice. On the pool side, the mattress pads are dirty and cracked, which spoils the relaxing Mood.
In short, a decent hotel for a short stay, but that would need some improvement to be really comfortable.

Spacious room in quiet hotel

Arrived yesterday at the hotel Taman Agung in Sanur. Located far from the building line of a popular street with all kinds of restaurants, souvenir shops etc. Therefore quiet, no traffic noise etc. The hotel has a well maintained courtyard garden, swimming pool. And a private hotel temple, in which faithful flower offerings etc. are laid down every day. Our room is large and clean, bed well, the very spacious balcon type waranda is nice, overlooking garden. Bathroom simple but good. The restaurant (breakfast, lunch, dinner) is spacious .. the breakfast is simple .. if you want to order toast with omelette then order it from the waiter. I have the impression that this hotel does not focus on the dining. No problem, because in the immediate vicinity you can enjoy lunch and dinner for a small amount. This hotel has holiday guests but also hosts European winterers, including a number of Dutch. Nothing wrong with that, as long as we are not forced to participate in bingo and clover jackets. Because there are limits. In short .. nice, quiet hotel with good rooms in lively neighborhood with beach within walking distance.
