The magnificent welcome in Bari.
Mammadada is a guarantee.
We stayed only one night but everything was perfect.
We were welcomed and pampered, the rooms are large, the beds comfortable but above all in every room there is a part of the history of this house.
What you perceive is the love and passion they have in managing the property.
In the room there was a very delicate scent and impeccable cleanliness.
Very close to both the old center of Bari and the more modern area.

We had a conflicting stay at MammaDada Guest House. On the positive side, the room we stayed in on our 2nd night was clean, quiet, and high quality. On-site laundry and location was very convenient. The host was also helpful in arranging a taxi, assisting with small requests, and leaving a bottle of wine as an apology.
However, arrival and customer service were stressful. Host communication prior to arrival was spotty and required follow-ups. Upon arrival at 8 PM, the person greeting us opened our assigned room, saw it was uncleaned, and quickly shut the door. Without explaining the issue, we were quietly redirected to an unfinished 'emergency room' with steep, unrailed stairs and water-stained curtains. We only learned our booked room was uncleaned after calling the host directly.
On the call, the host was apologetic and agreed to a full refund for night 1 so we could stay elsewhere. However, when we requested to cancel the remaining three nights, she refused. While we did stay in the correct room for night 2, we cancelled the rest of our stay. When resolving the booking via Hotels.com, the host backtracked on her initial full refund offer for night 1, offering only a partial refund and refusing to refund the remaining nights. Hotels.com ultimately had to step in to resolve the issue for us.
If everything goes according to plan, the proper rooms and amenities are great. However, if an issue arises, communication and customer support fall significantly short.

It was ok. WiFi wasn’t super strong and room could have been cleaner. Central location was convenient. I don’t know what the beach bar reference refers to - this was not made available to us.

Mammadada is a true hidden gem, defined above all by its world-class warmth and incredible hospitality.
Communication & Location
From the very beginning, communication was effortless. The location is extremely convenient and very easy to get to via a short cab ride from the airport, making arrival completely stress-free.
Unmatched Hospitality
The highlight of the stay is undoubtedly the owner, Antonella. She is an exceptionally kind human being who goes completely out of her way to make you feel right at home. From giving outstanding local restaurant recommendations to being constantly available whenever we needed assistance, her genuine care and generosity made the stay truly special.
Rooms & Comfort
The room itself was very comfortable and featured excellent, icy-cold air conditioning. The only minor drawback to note is the mattress, which is very soft. If you prefer a soft bed, you will love it; however, as someone who requires a firm mattress for support, it was a bit of a challenge for my back (though it might be worth asking Antonella in advance if options are available!).
Overall Verdict
A slightly soft mattress is far from a dealbreaker when weighed against the unbeatable location, cozy setup, and Antonella's extraordinary customer service. We would happily stay here again!

I booked this last minute and I am very glad I did. I needed a shower and a good nights sleep and that is exactly what I got.
