Fabulous hotel

We were slightly nervous after booking to see the many negative reviews about this hotel. DO NOT READ THEM!
This hotel was truly superb for the cost. The staff were attentive and friendly. A small but delicious continental breakfast in the mornings. The rooms were very clean and maintained some classic Italian charm with the architecture. It was in a very convenient location, a short walk from Santa Maria Novella station and around the corner from the leather market and Mercato Centrale. We had a wonderful stay here and would definitely return.

Terrible experience please avoid this place

Terrible experience : they do not allowed to use AC while outside temperature was about 27-29 C, explaining it by city laws. No mosquito protection nets on windows (we been provided by some kind of spray). Rooms :looks like last renovation been made during Renaissance time....So in summary it's cheap TWO stat motel...not a FOUR star as advertised

The time I stayed at this hotel it had a rating of 9.6 out of 10. This score is not good enough for what I experienced. I have traveled the world and I stayed in hotels from no stars to world elite hotels. This is the only hotel that deserves 10 out of 10.

Breakfast really good. Hotel position fantastic, not far from station or Dormo. Good bars and restaurants around. Staff all very good. Hotel bar expensive.
Some furnishings need replacing making the hotel look less than 4 star.

Great location. Friendly and clean.

This hotel was great. We booked on the day of arrival, as another place has let us down. When we arrived, staff worked quickly to check us in and had given us rooms in the same corridor as we asked. The rooms were clean, spacious and well decorated. The air conditioning was effective and the water pressure in the shower was excellent.
The reception staff were friendly and welcoming. The cleaning staff were efficient.
The location of the hotel is great. It looks and then smells good as you walk through the door.
