Room with heat pump on the balcony, unbearable noise
Good location, good and pleasant welcome, we stayed in a room which on the balcony had a heat pump constantly on, even with thick windows closed, the noise in the night prevented us from sleeping.
Experience not to be repeated.

Great Location, but comes at a cost!!!
Let's start off with the good, the location is great and as many reviews have said the rooms are very clean. However, location comes with its own bit of problems.
If you are looking for a place to stumble out of the bar and go to rest your head, this is the place for you. But if you are bringing a family, this place is really loud with street/foot traffic. Even with the windows closed, there's a fair amount of noise all night. But our experience didn't stop there, we secured our reservation on Airbnb and was told it was an entire place with a kitchen. Come to find out its more like a hostel with a community kitchen that is only available to the staff, until we told them we were promised a kitchen. Then they accommodated. The other issue we had was, we reserved the room as 4 adults and only received 1 1/2 pair of keys for the place. So you either had the keys to the room door or keys to the downstairs door but not both.
Overall, terrible night sleep, because of the foot traffic and the forgot to mention squeaky doors and felt ripped off because it wasn't advertised differently then what we recieved.

Very good location
Very friendly lady who came even late by night and explained everything. Well, we had to pay extra for late check in but it was ok for the effort.
The only issue was that it was cold in the room. It was a big room so probably more difficult to heat but the only heater i saw was in the bathroom. And the aircon in the room was not working.
Otherwise the location is perfect if you want to wake up early and walk to the museums.
There is an expensive parking nearby but if you want you can take your chances for a night and park on the next street (not at the street of the apartment as buses start early in the morning).
We did not have breakfast as there were so nice places around to enjoy the italian specialties.

Do not stay at this B&B in Florence
As we were to arrive in Florence at 10 am, I made a request on Oct 5 to have the luggage dropped off at this B&B at 10.30 am, as the official check in is after 12. The owner emailed us back that we could check in at 10.30 am on Oct 6. Now I would like to provide you with an overview of the harrowing time we had at this B&B.
Getting to the B&B which was located on the 3rd floor was ridiculous. We arrived outside the building at 10.20 am, buzzed the B&B and the call was unanswered. We finally managed to get into the building, to the 3rd floor and there was no one to open the door to the B&B, to let us in. We had to wait on the dinghy stairs for 15 minutes for the owner to arrive. I attempted to call him on the advertised telephone number, and the call went into voicemail. He showed up at 10.45 am, did not apologize for coming late, and the room was not ready.
Through some of his broken English we understood that the room would be ready later in the day. When we returned to our room in the afternoon, the air conditioning did not work and the thermostat was inoperable. This meant we had to open the windows of our room only to be preyed upon by mosquitoes. The noise levels from the street were deafening. We did not sleep two nights in a row. The wi-fi in the room did not work. There were no toiletries in the washroom and the shower water pressure is a trickle. There was no one we could reach out to as this B&B has no reception/front desk and nobody on-site to assist.
The free "breakfast" is a total joke. There was nothing. When we returned to our room the evening, the room was not cleaned.
The owner is rude, could not care less. In this day and age customer service is key for a business to shine. The owner of this B&B is unfamiliar with this concept. We have traveled extensively and stayed at many B&B’s, hotels and even hostels. This was the worst ever.

Sorry for our delay of 15 min....but maybe there was a mistake, we emailed you could leave luggage and take the keys but absolutely can't be ready the room.

Breakfast is Italian breakfast.... cause we are in Italy but we reported in our info.
Air conditioning is automatics so start in the right hours.... for the poems you write sorry and hope you will find a better place.... one block of Duomo square at the same price. Thank you

They cancel your reservation the day before you arrive
We booked this hotel 2 months in advance and sent an email confirming, which was repplied. Less than 24 hours before the check in they sent another email saying “we have no room for you, cancel the reservation”. Reading some other reviews one could notice this is usual practice for this B&B. We called them and a man (who didn’t identify himself, but acted like the owner) shouted “no room” and “not my problem” repeatedly.
