A great spot for solo travelers
I was pleasantly surprised at how much I loved Plus Hostel Florence. I am a 59-year-old solo female traveler and I felt very safe. The hostel housed mostly young travelers (early 20's), but I still met a few closer to my age. I was in a 6-person bunk room and really lucked out with my roommates. We all chatted each night and talked about our days.
Here is what I loved about this hostel:
*A front desk that was staffed 24 hours. The staff was always so friendly!
*A full service restaurant and additional pool bar. As a solo female, I don't always want to venture out at night for food or drink. I enjoyed some good pasta and a cocktail without having to leave the property.
*There is a pool. I didn't use it, but plenty of people did!
*The rooms are clean and the lockers good sized. My room was air conditioned! This was key since it was 36C/98F when I was in Florence. Towel, sheets and a blanket is included.
*Great location. I walked everywhere quite easily. It was close to all the main attractions and only a 15-20 minute walk to the train station.

Clean, central and amazing value for money
Location was amazing. An easy 15 min walk from the train station and close to all of Florence main highlights. The food market was just down the road and served x d amazing selection of good upstairs. Super impressed with how clean and modern the hostel rooms were with a great shower, hairdryer and toiletries. Great air con although it did dip in and out throughout the night. The pool was a great addition for a quick dip after a hot day but very limited space to lounge by the pool. Bar was great and lively.

Wasnt sure what to expect from a hostel but this was great. Triple room with private bathroom was spotlessly clean. Location excellent - 15 mins walk from Firenze SMN train station and the Duomo area. Amenities were great - outdoor pool and bar area was excellent for socialising. Bar prices reasonable. Breakfast was excellent. Cooked breakfast, cereals, continentals etc. great value. Would definately recommend.

Great value for money
We have stayed 3 nights at this accommodation, in a private room.
It is located 10-15 minutes from the most important monuments in Florence and has the plus of the pool, which is appreciated with an average of 38 degrees.
It offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner at a reasonable price. It also has a pool bar, laundry facilities, and a common area with a small kitchen with kitchenware.
The private room is perfect, new, and clean. I am not giving it a 5 because the air conditioning is old and extremely noisy, so much so that we had to turn it off at night. All in all, I would book here again without hesitation. We paid €269 for the three nights, which in the middle of August in Florence is a very good price.

Great hostel. Sayed with my Husband (30s) didn't feel out of place,mixture of ages. Private dbl room,separate building (same complex). Very clean. Our particular room was a weird layout, there were normal windows then some windows at floor level to crawl through to go onto a balcony. Maybe we weren't supposed to go out there?. There was no fridge in the room.
Unfortunately the housekeeping ladies kept coming late afternoon to our floor, so we kept having to decline them as we like to chill before going back out in the evening. This meant our room wasnt cleaned for the duration. But if we would have agreed they would have done it.
The outdoor bar and pool area are great! Nicely decorated. Music playing. Brilliant to cool off and chill. Cocktails were nice but small.
We didn't eat at the restaurant but had a few drinks at the indoor bar where there is a pool table and loads of seating. The bar toilets are very clean. There is a kitchen so we used the fridge a couple of times.
15-20 nice walk to Duomo. Great location. There are a few mini supermarkets very short walk away. Definitely recommend staying here.
