Ideal and superb!
A wonderful time in this brilliant B&B. Our room was spacious and had a see view. Ideal for couples and friends.
The A/C was amazing especially in the hot weather. The host was brilliant and offered us a train station shuttle for €15,00 - so kind!
We will be back! Ideal place for foodies and a gateway to the Amalfi Coast!

Missleading portayal of this hotel on travel websites
I stayed here from 4th to 7th Oct, the property was very disappointing. The room are on the top floor of a three storey building, there is no elevator, I only had a small carrying on and a small backpack but it is not easy carrying luggage up/down those stairs. There is a 'communal' dining room however it's not fitted out with much that is useful, there is a toaster that I didn't try and a coffee machine that wouldn't work, there are three bedrooms off the dining room. The one we stayed in had two single beds, the fittings were worn, the bed headboards were badly worn, one of the bedside lamps was not working, the door handle of the bedroom will fall off soon, one of the beds was very lumpy and had a big dip in the middle and clearly needs replacing, the sheets are very itchy as are the towels in the bathroom, I think the bedding was clean enough but either the material or the cleaning products are poor quality. There was just one sheet on each bed - in Oct, my friend was very cold and found it hard to sleep. Our bathroom was opposite our bedroom so we had a key to get into the bathroom. On the website you have the impression that there is breakfast, indeed it is listed as a bed and breakfast but there was some communal tea/coffee and cereal that looked like it had been there for ages, there was one muffin each in the room but nothing was ever replaced, or cleaned during our three days, including the one toilet roll that was provided...... The view from the bathroom was over some roofs but it was possible to see the sea, the view from the bedroom was described as a 'mountain' view but I think that's overselling it. We didn't see or hear from the staff during our stay, only when we arrived. The location is fairly central but up a steep hill/steps so I don't recommend it for anyone that struggles with those.
In summary I think the website shows bright, airy and well maintained rooms, gives the false impression of breakfast being included, and that the owners are complacent and need to smarten the whole place up alot.
Nontheless we had a nice stay in Salerno, it is a quieter part of the coastline in this area and there are some nice days trips that can be done from there.

HORRIBLE HOST
I had a horrible experience and don’t recommend this hotel at all. First of all it’s not reachable at all. Lift closes after 22h30. If you want to go for a drink expect a hike to get back to the room. Then the host is 100% trying to scam. He urges to book directly via him and pay him cash and then claims non-payment. Then he threatens young naive people into paying him again. Agressive and unprofessional host

Splendid palace
Splendid period building and you notice it as soon as you open the door and go up the stairs. In fact, perhaps already from the door. Comfortable room inside. Upon arrival the very kind Alessandra picked us up. Terrace from where you can see all of Salerno. Thank you so much, everything was perfect.

Stunning view of Salerno and wonderful hospitality
It’s an amazing family hotel with the best view of Salerno. We had family junior suite (2 rooms and private spacious bathroom). Every morning our host Massima served breakfast directly into the room. So, you even don’t cross to other guests.
Thanks Massima for the hospitality. We felt like special guests despite the fact we don’t have a mutual language. I had a birthday during our trip and Massima brought me a cake with a candle. It was so nice.
The hotel is located close to the cost line but it’s needed to climb the hill. During day time (7AM to 9PM) you can do it by an elevator. Rest of the time you can go up by foot. If you are an active person, it won’t be a problem.
It’s also possible to book a transfer from the hotel to train station and vice versa. The price is 10-15 euros depends on the time.
I highly recommend this place to stay in Salerno!
