My favorite stay in Hiroshima
I don't know what fragrance was used but the entire accommodation smelled nice. It wasn't unbearably or uncomfortably overpowering. Yet, it was not subtle either. It was just a very pleasant, floral scent that seemed to pervade throughout the entire building and rooms. It was the first thing I noticed when I checked in - which is a contactless check-in by the way. The process was all very smooth and seamless. I really liked it.
Anyways, normally, I don't care much for flowers and fragrances but the smell had a really positive, soothing and uplifting effect on my mood, especially after a long, arduous trip. The room itself had at least two fragrance diffusers.
I arrived late at night since I took a flight from Miyako+Naha to Osaka and then board the Shinkansen from Osaka to Hiromshima. So I didn't realize how nice the views were until I woke up in the morning. I was in room 601. There is a balcony that faces the port and the front door opens to a nice view of the local neighborhood. The view of the expansive skies was a tranquil blend of amber and lavender during sunset. I must have been lucky because the weather was perfect the two nights I stayed here.
The place had everything I needed except for a drying machine. However, I just have to leave my washed clothes on the balcony and they dry up by the time I return in the evening.
