That's the Shiroyama Hotel.
I'd be happy if you could show me around. (I'd be happy if you could take my luggage, I'd be happy to talk to you.)

A prestigious hotel on the site of a fierce Satsuma Rebellion
After checking in and strolling around the hotel in the wee hours before dark (at the foot of Shiroyama), there are many historical sites associated with Saigo Takamori. The caves of Saigo where he waited quietly for his end, the place of his death where he begged for help and committed suicide, and the stone walls of the site of the Shigakko where countless bullet holes remain vivid. The spot associated with Shimazu Nariakira, who found Saigo, is also very accessible. Shoko Shuseikan, the origin of modernization in Japan and a World Heritage Site, the former Kagoshima Spinning Works Engineer's Museum (Ijinkan), and the Shimazu family's second residence, Senganen. For history fans of the Bakumatsu Restoration, this could not be a more convenient base for travel.
After the walk, head to Tenmonkan, the largest downtown area in the city, for dinner. They are looking for a Kagoshima specialty, the scented eel. It takes about 10 to 15 minutes by shuttle bus from the hotel to Tenmonkan. It is very comfortable to be on the top of Shiroyama, yet with the convenience of being able to go out into the city with light footwork. At night, when I returned to my room, I received a message from a member of the hotel staff with a picture of beautiful Sakurajima and the time of sunrise the next morning. Thanks to this attention to detail, I can start moving early the next morning in time for sunrise, and keep a special window seat at the breakfast venue with a view of Sakurajima directly in front of me! Breakfast served in the morning sun, with views of the magnificent Sakurajima Island that changes its expression every moment, was a luxury travel memory.
Immerse yourself in the hotel's famous hot spring, Satsuma no Yu, and gaze at Sakurajima's imposing tower before you, and you will be asked a number of questions. Ryoma Sakamoto dreamed of a peaceful change of government without bloodshed, called Taisei Hokan. Immediately after achieving this great task, why did Japan have to move on from the Boshin War to the fierce Seinan War? And why did Saigō Takamori, the greatest contributor to the Restoration, end up losing his life in Shiroyama?
What if, in those strict days of the class system, Shimazu Nariakira had not selected a mere low-ranking samurai named Saigo as 'Owakata'? No matter how much effort Ryoma made, the proud Choshu patriots may not have been able to join forces with Satsuma and achieve the Satsuma-Choshu Alliance. During the Edo period, oniwakata worked directly for the shogun and the lord of the domain as an intelligence officer, an information collector, and a secret messenger. Having him as his aide shows that the Satsuma clan at the time valued not only military power but also advanced intelligence. The Shimazu family's exceptional foresight and Nariakira's overwhelming eye for people. Without it, Japan would have spent a quagmire of civil war and eventually become a colony of Western powers, and the shape of Japan today might have been completely different.

It was a superlative experience.
The breakfast and hot springs that became the best in Japan were truly amazing, as the name suggests.
For breakfast, I was very happy to see that the people of Kagoshima are particular about the ingredients produced in Kagoshima Prefecture, for example, they prepare a single salt with Sakurajima small mandarin oranges. I also felt that it was very gratifying to be able to choose souvenirs from the buffet by comparing all the ingredients, including a variety of flower breads that are very popular among the people of the prefecture as souvenirs, as well as chiran tea, tea, and Anoimo jam.
The hot springs are very spacious, with a dressing area, a washing area, and a bath tub, which adds a degree of healing. And most of all, the open-air bath where our Sakurajima rises in front of you is the best. I don't know of any other place to bathe in this stunning situation.
Other than that, the rooms, the dinner restaurant, the staff hospitality, everything was amazing.
I really felt that we as people living in Kagoshima should try to experience the Ichiban-kan, a place we should be proud of in the local area, which is never second to none.
During my stay, it was the rainy season and I could not see the blue sky. Still, the landscape was stunning day and night, and I left the hotel feeling very refreshed overall.

Every time, it's degraded.
I feel like the quality is getting worse every time I come.
On the shuttle bus from the station, a group of Osaka aunts were talking loudly, mistaking it for their own private bus, (there is a sign saying please be quiet on the bus in your own language)
At the door, the bellboy (doorman?) older man is talking to a colleague and completely ignores
When you check in, breakfast with One Harmony Exclusive Plus benefits will have to come from us, welcome drink venue is open for private use and we can't tell you that it's going to be changed, young men cleaning in the hall are silent etc...
Also, as ever, there were Chinese people walking through the narrow corridors in the guest room, and the best part was that in the middle of the night, a few young men gathered in the next room and couldn't sleep with their hands clapping and laughing and chirping.
It was so bad that I contacted the guest room staff to ask them to just check it out, but it didn't change after an hour of patience, so I contacted them again and they said, "It's the front desk. How can I help you?" And instead of saying, "Yes, front desk. "(Again, nuance)"", which seemed like a lot of trouble, saying, ""I just came to check and it was quiet."""
I'm sure he's being treated like a Kramer.
It ended up going on until after 2:20 and I couldn't sleep early the next morning because of stress and anger.
Going on a trip is supposed to mean forgetting about them, but this stay only made me feel stressed and tired.
Breakfast was of much lower quality, and the venue was filled with toddlers roaming the narrow aisles and sofas at check-out filled with foreigners, making it feel like you were in a foreign country if you took those same shuttle buses.
By the way, the quality of the shuttle bus drivers was also poor, and every time I got off, everyone said thank you.
If anyone at the inn sees this word of mouth, check with the other guests who stayed in the back of the ninth floor on June 21st, deeper than the central elevator, to see if they heard the noise late at night.
Generally speaking, it would be disgusting if there were three or four men in a small single room in the Toyoko Inn class with only a bed about four tatami mat rooms. It's natural to be noisy if you drink in the room or play games late at night.
The hotel will be able to check with a lot of security cameras to see if there are any comings or goings.
It was an uncomfortable stay, not finding any good points.
