Friendly staff, nice luxorious Room if you choose the japanese style one with own onsen on balcony. Traditional japanese breakfast. Clean. The property itself looks a bit outdatet.

赤ちゃんの虫刺されのような症状と旅館の対応について

【宿泊を検討されている方へ】
先週、友人と赤ちゃんを含む3人でこの温泉旅館に宿泊しました。
翌日、全員の体に複数のダニの可能性も疑われる虫刺されの跡が確認され、
特に乳児の顔にも同様の跡がありました。
旅館に状況を報告しましたが、
「当館は関係ない」「対応はしない」との回答で、その後の配慮は一切行われませんでした。
保健所、消費者センター、下田市観光協会へはすでに報告済みです。
小さなお子様連れで宿泊を検討されている方は、十分ご注意ください。

上週與朋友及一名嬰兒一同入住這間溫泉旅館。
隔天三人身上都出現多處疑似可能為塵蟎引起的蟲咬痕跡，尤其嬰兒臉上也出現相同情況。
向旅館反映後，對方僅表示「與本館無關」「不會處理」，之後也未進行任何關懷或後續應對。
目前已向保健所、消費者中心及下田市觀光協會進行通報。
提醒有攜帶嬰幼兒的旅客，請務必審慎考慮。
[For those considering staying here]
Last week, I stayed at this hot spring hotel with a friend and an infant.
The next day, all three of us developed multiple bite-like marks,
which may possibly be related to mites, and the infant had similar marks on the face.
When we reported this to the hotel, they stated they were not responsible and refused any action.
No care or follow-up was provided afterward.
The case has already been reported to the public health center, consumer affairs center, and the Shimoda Tourism Association.
We strongly advise caution, especially for those traveling with infants or small children.

Shuttle bus for the beach was not available despite the fact that it was written on Hotels.com. We were not informed proactively.
They told us to use the bus or taxi instead (at our charge). We went for the bus close to the hotel, it never came…
The building is old stylish and the smells/perfumes in the commun parts are not enjoyable.
Almost all services are charged separately (ping pong, swimming pool …) and some have to be booked in advance (incl. swimming pool).
You need a swimming cap for the swimming pool.
They charge the use of the Onsen even if you dont use it.
The Onsen is seperated man/woman and is naked.
Many signs are only in Japanese.
We were able to communicate with the staff in English. Some speak better than others.
Dogs are accepted, we could hear some barking from our bedroom. The first night was quite silent but on the second night, we could hear some people scream/laugh around midnight.
On the positive side, the room was spacious, the view was nice. Amenities were provided. There is a 7 eleven only few minutes away by foot. It is not far from the train station, when it’s not too warm, you can go by foot. Taxi to/from the train station is about 1000yen one way. They provide a little carrier for luggage, let us 🚿 after Check-out and called a taxi
We went to Kujuppama Beach by taxi. A very nice small beach accessible from the road by a short but very steep road. We also went to Nabetahama Beach by bus (from the train station). Also a nice small beach.

Summer vacation family vacation!

I stayed overnight on a family vacation! You could enter at any time in the room with open-air bath! The kids seemed satisfied with all-you-can-eat dinner and buffet style food!
