Great place to stay

The Kagaribi guesthouse is ideally located close to the Kita-Senju station, within walking distance. The neighborhood is peaceful and within reach of all Tokyo sights. Very friendly staff, extremely helpful.
We rented the 4-people room, which is really tiny. You technically have enough space to fit four sleeping people and nothing else. Not an issue as the beds are actually futons you unfold for the night and fold back during the day.
We loved staying there and do not hesitate to recommend it to other travellers.

下町のゲストハウス

2度利用させていただきました。スタッフさんはとてもフレンドリーで親切です。北千住駅から少し遠いものの、離れているからこそ味わえる貴重な体験ができました。宿周辺には銭湯が数カ所ありました。ゲストハウスは和風で海外からの方にとてもおすすめです。
One of my favourite hostel. Staff was very kind to me. It is Japanese style hostel.

Amazing guesthouse !

I really liked this place, close to the Kitasenju station and a small supermarket, so calm and soooooo clean ! The guy that has this place is so kind, always in good mood and always ready to help :)
*to get there: Kitasenju station, straight on the main street, turn right at the light where you see a pink hairdresser shop, then left on the first light (last light before the big blue building on the right) and then always go straight and it will be on the left side of the street :)

Kagaribi was a great find!

Nestled in a quieter part of Kita-Senju, which by all means is a reflection of a slower, more natural reflection of Tokyo life, the hostel is about a ten minutes on food from the train station and worth the pleasant walk. In true DIY hosteling style, this feels like an Auberge of old, a stop along the way if you will, authored and run by it's manager, Daisuke. Whether it's finding a place to eat, which "Sento" to go to, or figuring out what to do, Daisuke was a wealth of knowledge, going out of his way to answer any question to the best of his ability. On top of that he also provided wonderful conversation, making us feel even more at home. Our six person dorm room was exceptionally comfortable and the common room invites conversation with other guests. While the homespun feel of the place and location may not be for all, the personality of the space and Daisuke himself make this place worth it alone.

Beautiful Guesthouse!

This guesthouse was just was we needed. Prime location, close to the local shopping area, and about a 10min walk from the train station. The guesthouse it's self was very clean and calming, the other guests were not loud and it was a lovely place to come and relax. The host was even better, such a lovely guy and would go out of his way to help you. Will be back!
