There were lots of hairs found on the floor that I cleaned because I received no service from housekeeping. I put a full garbage can outside my door that took hours to be emptied. The only compliment I can muster is the body products that smell good and the young woman at the front desk who was very kind.

I can’t see how this hotel gets good reviews. It’s down a shady street you wouldn’t want to be late at night. Noisy from music next door. The rooms are old and really dirty. Disgusting marks all over the walls, filthy sofa covered in stains. Holes in the bed linen. Tiny bathroom with water that constantly ran hot and cold. They also wanted a $20 deposit which I find ridiculous. There are much better hotels in Phnom Penh in much nicer areas for the same price. I would not recommend staying here.

Dear,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We sincerely apologize for the negative experience you had during your stay at ARK Hotel.
Regarding the Hotel Location: We understand that the surroundings are an important part of the guest experience. While our location is often appreciated for its proximity to key attractions, we will certainly take your comments into consideration and work on improving the security and comfort of our guests, especially at night.
Noise from Music: We are sorry to hear that external noise affected your stay. We will communicate with the neighboring establishment to address the noise levels and also explore ways to improve soundproofing in the rooms to ensure a more peaceful environment.
Room Cleanliness and Condition: The condition you describe is certainly unacceptable, and we deeply regret that this was your experience. Cleanliness is a top priority, and we will be conducting a thorough review of the housekeeping and maintenance processes to address the issues you’ve mentioned, including stained furniture, walls, and bed linen.
Bathroom and Water Issues: We apologize for the inconvenience caused by the bathroom size and fluctuating water temperature. These concerns will be raised with our maintenance team to ensure they are promptly fixed.
Deposit Policy: The $20 deposit is standard practice to cover any incidental expenses or damages during the stay. However, we understand that this may have been unexpected, and we will review how we communicate this policy to guests during the booking process to avoid any surprises.
We truly appreciate your honest feedback, as it helps us improve the experience we provide. While we understand your disappointment, we hope to have the opportunity to regain your trust in the future.
Warm regards,
