My wife and I really liked the hotel. It's a pet-friendly hotel in the city centre near parks, monuments, restaurants and a casino. Their food is good, too. My wife and I recommend the beef. We had it several times during our two week stay.

This hotel has the potential to be amazing. But potential is not reality! Long story short, I have changed 2 rooms and both of them lack cleaning and maintenance. They have done a lousy job tilling, painting (on the doors you can see the previous colour), the toilet basin it's stained, taps are leaking and instead of fixing them, they wrapped it in cellotape and silicone. The air con has never been cleaned, it's black inside and it smells. The fridge was black inside the door and the seal and it smells mouldy. There are no windows, just the sliding doors which you can rarely leave open (for privacy) so it smells musty inside.

Nice stay and fit our needs

We visited Villa Borann during the Coronavirus problems. The stay was nice. I write to help others. The Internet was a bit rough. During our stay, we needed consistent internet and we did not have it. Nice staff, but does do not understand western service. The pool was never really clear. Those are the only negatives. The rest is good.

Great place, loved it

I stayed for three nights and everything was great. It isn’t noisy as other reviews have wrote it’s just a typical Asian city with hustle and bustle, cocks waking you up at all hours and that’s about it but if your a light sleeper just take ear plugs. Honestly it’s not bad. The breakfast was AMAZING I personally couldn’t be happier! I loved the flavours and the sizes were good. This was my favourite part. The staff are helpful, just a few with stern faces but even then they helped when I asked for anything. It has lovely greenery around the outside and to be honest for the price I don’t know when people complain. There is a small tv in the room with tea and coffee available. It smells abit but this is the drains and again I think this is very normal for Asia. Maybe some air freshener would quieten the moaning customers. Also the bed was a bit hard for me but I love soft squishy beds and so far haven’t found any on my trip round cambodia so that’s just me. The location is really good and it’s so easy to get a tuk tuk at any point. Defiantly don’t knock this place as I thought it was brilliant.

Just save your money and choose another hotel

The good things first:
+ location is very good
+ some staff is very friendly and at least try to help
+ breakfast is ok
What must be better:
- reception staff is sometimes a bit grumpy
- the hotel obviously needs serious renovations
- we had two rooms and both had a dominant mould smell which the reception seem to not be interested in
