Clean, Safe, Budget Airport Gem

This is a medium hotel on the outskirts of Nairobi near the airport. It was $50USD for one adult for one night. It was very clean, safe, and the staff were very courteous and helpful. It is not a western 5-star hotel, but for the price, it’s a great little gem with an outstanding location near the airport.

The staff was courteous. The room was clean but the shower was poor, saw some little bugs in tub, the cold water was turned off and the WiFi didn’t work. No A/C though it was listed on Expedia as an amenity. The facility had been nice at one time but they have not maintained it. Rate is too high for what is offered.

No improvement in food quality

Did not stay in the hotel, so cannot review that.
Pool Area still nice, but in our opinkon not for s.all kids despite a kids pool. Tiles are stupidly slippery and sharp edges on tiles around both pools.
Food has not improved much either is at best mdiocre.
And why we have to ask to turn down the volume of music every time we visit. If you had a marvellous sound system it would be better, bit still it could be played a notch lower.
With this beautiful garden, you could if you wanted make it a top notch experience......

Utawala the best place to relax with friends while waiting for something to bite

I rate this place a star. Just order for nyama choma nothing else. You won't regret. After paying avisit to my friend senator sifuna we pasd here for a drink and the nyama choma we ate, haven't seen it in the whole utawala. Number one hotel for nyama choma. Nice job the chefs and promise to be back. Tasty, juicy and tendour. Big up fahari.

Terrible experience

The shuttle service from the airport to the hotel was excellent, but be aware the journey is nearly 30 mins. The hotel is a very strange establishment made of lots of different buildings far away from each other. We were in ‘the suite’ it was very cold inside. Everything is dated and run down.
In the morning there was NO water. We were offered another room to get washed but the shower was either cold or boiling hot. Hardly any apologies from the only member of staff who was there . Our booking with Hotels.com included breakfast however the staff member in the hotel kept saying it was not included even when we showed proof of it. Fed up and in a hurry we decided to pay for breakfast but there was no staff to provide it or food available. Again no apologies. It was a dreadful experience for an expensive room. Our advice is do not go there!
