Not recommended
The common area and the gardens were quite nice, however, the actual rooms were horrible. Our room was too small to even open suitcases, smelled of mold, and did not appear to have been cleaned. The sheets were old, had holes in them and did not seem fresh. The closet had a balled up blanket and stained pillow in it and when I pulled them out there was someone’s underwear among those items. It was disgusting! The bathroom was small and set up as a wet room. There was no separation between the shower and toilet which meant showering wet the entire floor. The floor tiles were slippery and not the appropriate tiles for a shower. There were no handrails when showering. It was very dangerous and unsafe.
This place gives a good first impression but it is downhill from there.

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE
I organised a trip here with a group of friends. Despite having extensive discussions during the planning we had very many disappointments. I had informed the host that I would have a chef over and he assured me all appliances were working well. The fridge and oven were both dysfunctional. There were no water glasses or wine glasses. The house is in general disrepair - broken bathrooms doors,toilets not flushing, stained seats. The towels were of strange colours and mixed designs, overused and old. The host had been informed we would have a party and had said that was acceptable yet he kept knocking the door and asking us to keep things down severally. I had asked if the fee includes cleaning and he had said it does. On arrival he then says the cleaning does not include the kitchen. At checkout his staff harassed my friends and locked the gate demanding a cleaning fee of $5 for the dishes in the kitchen. The staff also kept asking us to allow them come and inspect the house while the ladies were still removing their luggage from the house. I was extremely disappointed with the inconsistency and poor maintenance. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

RUDE STAFF!!!
We waited for the guard to open the gate for over 20 minutes, despite even hooting. When he came he was so unprofessional and unapologetic. He doesnt seem to be a trained guard. In the house, it wasn't clean, no privacy in the bathroom upstairs which seemed like an afterthought, squeezed next to the bathtub. The caretaker kept knocking at night telling us to keep quiet. Not that we were so noisy but we realised the houses are not sound proof. We were woken up by the guys talking in normal tones from the house next to us early in the morning...mark you we were upstairs!!! The owner needs to do proper upgrade of the whole house.
The caretaker came in to tell us we need to vacate before noon otherwise we pay khs1500/= per hour. Wish there was a better way or time to communicate that. At check out we were rudely locked in demanding that we pay the cleaner to wash the breakfast utensils. This is despite the fact that there are hardly any utensils provided and we had brought ours mostly. The staff were quite rude,and make you feel least welcome. NEVER going back!!!

MESSY LOFT!!!
At check in the staff were still setting up the house, despite us checking in late. The kitchen lacks basic crockery.One of the bathroom doors kept falling and the house seems to have an issue with plumbing as the toilets were not flushing well.Overall cleanliness of the bathroom is questionable and towels didn't smell fresh. I would not recommend this place to anyone

HORRIBLE
We visited for one night as a group of 8 girl friends.
We booked the cottage as self catering. The kitchen was not well equipped. There weren't any water glasses nor wine glasses. We had to dash to the shop to buy disposable cups. There were no table knives as well.
Many toilets and showers in the house weren't working- toilets that dont flash well and showers with no hot water. We had to share the few that were working. The house was in disrepair with a shower door broken, almost falling and very dangerous.
We had told the host beforehand as we booked that we would have a party and make some noise. The host confirmed that it would be okay but during our party, the staff came in twice to tell us to keep it down. Wish they would have told us before hand and we would have booked another place.
The host had confirmed beforehand that the price was inclusive of cleaning. However, at check out, they locked the gate and insisted that we had to give them Ksh.500 extra (about 6 dollars) cash to clean the house or they would not open the gate.
The pictures on this site are nothing like the house we were given. And the host and their staff were very hostile
