Great location and good for longer stay

The villa has a rustic feel with a large well equipped kitchen. The bedroom is up a full flight of stairs and includes a beautiful wooden tray ceiling, nice balcony and wonderful view of the river. We stayed for 2 weeks and were very comfortable. Our attentive host went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. We would definitely stay again.

Beautiful, comfy and very peaceful.

Absolutely STUNNING apartment right on the river, super peaceful! Jonas was an amazing host, helped us rent bikes and had some great recommendations for us. The bed was massive and very comfy, very clean and well kept place!
We loved our stay here.

A place where you will feel like at home

Sok Villa is the perfect place not only to spend a few delightful days in Luang Prabang, but also to live there for longer and fully feel the atmosphere of the town. The everyday view of the river flowing under the windows, the exotic plants and golden temples around made me feel like I was in a mystical paradise. Quiet, homely, close to everything I needed for happiness - shops, restaurants, attractions in the center, the picturesque banks of both rivers. I just can't feel lao style life more!
The apartment is beautiful, clean and comfortably furnished, and professional hosts will take care of every detail and whim of their guests, whom they treat with respect and sympathy. This place will satisfy even the most demanding travelers!
I say it with all my heart and honestly, because I spent almost 3 months at Sok Villa during the Lao quarantine! And I must admit that I could not have dreamed of a better place. Living in Sok Villa and the caring presence of our hosts meant that even a global pandemic did not seem so terrible. We are happy to go back someday ... we already miss our second home! Live in Sok and you will find that you will also create your home there and leave a piece of heart forever, even if you spend there only couple of days.

Home away from home!

The best review is the fact that we intentionally wanted to stay here for 5 days, and ended up staying... over 2 months!
We couldn't imagine a better place to spend the covid lock down in Laos, and a better place in Luang Prabang whatsoever. In the heart of LP old town, close to many restaurants, temples and shops, just beside the river, Sok Villa create a perfect cozy place to chill down and relax.
Two story apartment has everything you might need - small but functional kitchen, comfortable bathroom, strong air condition and a good wifi, so if you are a digital nomad it's a perfect place to stay. And that view of the Nam Khan river from the bedroom/balcony!
We were provided with everything we might have needed, and if you want something else just ask and the staff will be happy to help. The villa has a place to keep your motorbike if you have one like we did. They will help you with supplies, drinking water, laundry, bicycles and whatever you might think of, all in all with very competitive prices and a quality service.
If I had to list some disadvantages it would be just two: there were some ants (but you are in Asia, hello!) and for some part of our stay there was a construction of the road just in front of the apartment (should be over in the moment you read this words). But it's just a small nuisance that is more than compensated by the amazing manager - John - that not only provided us with everything we needed/wanted but we spent some quality time exchanging cultural backgrounds and just talking/ having fun.
Do not think any longer, if the villa has a free room just book it (only 4 rooms with private entries so super private feel), you won't regret it!
Thank you for amazing stay John (and Anna) and hope to see you soon. If we ever come back to LP this definitely the place we will stay again!

Beautiful View

I stayed in the apartment with two floors. best part was the bed to see the view overthe river and mountains also the location is very good with just walking distances to nightmarket temple phousy hill alms giving. we could rent scooter for a very good price. i highly recommend this place!
