Convenient Location

Located right in the hub of hostels, hotels, restaurants and the night market right around the corner. Art the owner is friendly and helpful. When we decided to leave Vientiane a day early he had no problem with us canceling one night. He booked us a bus to Vang Vieng. The stairs as others posted are very steep but we are in our 60s and no problem, just go down slow. There is no river view but a cool Wat right across the street. No breakfast but try the health food restaurant 2 doors down, great. Fridge and kettle in the room. Rooms are basic looking but bed was comfortable. My only criticism is it could have been cleaner. Our feet were dirty from stepping on the bath mat, sheets looked dingy and we found a few hairs that definitely were not ours. For the price and location it's a good deal right in the centre of the city

Wrong advertisement, bad service and dirty rooms - good location

We booked a room with garden view and ended up in a room with a view to a roof with rubbish. The manager told us this is the garden view - wrong advertisement! Also the room, especially the toilet was not clean. Also they tried to get our money even before we saw the room - now I know why - be careful!
The best is the location and the sandwich stall in front of the hotel - amazing Sandwiches!

Tricky stairs

We stayed at thos hostel which boasts a view of the river... Maybe on the top floor of you get up on ypur tippy toes and look down the street, paat the cross street, past the night market, past next 4 lane road, past the green fields, ypu make get a glimps of the Mekong about 2kl away!
Stairs are not properly made so VERY steep with only 1/2 rhe tread width of normal stairs so don't go out drinking!!!
The room was "the new room". O think that meant they had recently put one thin coat of purple paint on the concrete wall. The building has rhat industrial feel with pai ted concrete floor, walls and ceiling.
We did get something extra in the last persons hair in our bed. They never made up the room while we were there sp we had to go ask for TB and towels.
The hoatel is close to alotof stuff but we cut our stay short!

Liars - It is not riverside.

The river is half as mile away.
Describing a hotel riverside when it is not is illegal in many countries.
If they lie about the hotel being Mekong riverside what else might they be lie about?
Stay away from these fraudsters.

Large Rooms. Helpful staff. Good location.

Stayed here. The staff were very helpful. The room was huge. Had hot water and good A/C. The location is perfect. There is no restaurant on site but many places to eat nearby. So much choice in this area for accomodation but this one is a great budget pick.
