The hotel lobby was quite nice and clean, so I expected the same standard in the room. I was allowed to check in at 2:30 PM. However, I encountered an issue with the air conditioning. I had the AC on for almost an hour and realized that the room was still quite warm. I contacted the front desk, and housekeeping checked it and said that it was normal and that all rooms had the same AC. I explained that it still felt warm even when set to 16 degrees. I assumed it might be due to the AC’s location and decided not to pursue the issue further since I get cold easily.
What was more unpleasant was the cleanliness of the room. The bed cover was dirty, with visible stains and hair. Worse, there was a cockroach in the room. The towels looked very dirty, and I didn’t dare to use them. There was also hair on the floor, which was clearly not mine. The shower handle was loose. They only provided a 2-in-1 shower gel (for both hair and body), which I found unusual. However, this did not matter much to me since I usually bring my own toiletries when traveling.
On the positive side, the room was spacious and the hotel itself is nice. However, cleanliness really needs improvement, and I did not find the staff very helpful. I requested room cleaning around 11:00 AM–12:00 PM before going out, expecting the room to be cleaned when I returned around 3:00 PM. Unfortunately, it wasn’t. I reached out to the reception again, and the receptionist said that housekeeping was cleaning checkout rooms and room would be cleaned accordingly. At that point, I didn’t want to complain anymore and just wanted to rest.
I would still recommend this hotel for its affordable price, but I don’t think I would stay here again. I hope the management pays more attention to cleanliness.
