Recommended budget-friendly hotels in Kuala Lumpur

If you are only staying in Kuala Lumpur for one day and don't want to make a mistake, perhaps the LION Hotel is an option.
The location is good, and the hotel service is good (quite humanized, for check-in and check-out, needing a blanket). The hotel facilities are also quite good.
The rooftop terrace is great, and the infinity pool offers a view of Kuala Lumpur. Other locations to see the Gemini Tower and others are also nice, and you can see the sky garden.
During the morning check-out at the hotel, I requested a flexible checkout. Perhaps because it was busy in the morning, my request to help charge the mobile refrigerator could not be met, but when it wasn't busy, they helped me charge my phone which was running low on battery.
The power adapter was left in the room, and the staff diligently helped me find it and solved a big problem for me, because without it, my portable refrigerator would have been difficult to charge later.
There are three of us in our family, and we booked a room with a sofa bed. We asked the hotel for a blanket, and we slept very comfortably at night. PS: The blanket feels a bit scratchy, I need to wear pajamas.

Unhelpful staff, poor facilities in room

The worst hotel I have ever stayed. Unhelpful staff, overcrowded lobby and poor facilities in room. Tv is not working.
The staff does not care about your stay. They just sit there and say everything is what it is. Asked twice and they were like yes it does not work and they can’t do anything. Overcrowding lobby the queue was from the lift to the entrance of the lobby. You have to wait at least five minutes to get to the lift and it stops at a lot of floors. Extremely disappointed as the reviews online were quite positive. Will not go here again.

Clean and affordable rooms at Sleeping.Lion

Location - behind starhill and fahrenheit88
Atmosphere - modern, minimal
Rooms - clean, comfortable bed and pillows, smooth bedsheets, modern with cozy lighting. Bathroom was black and white appointed modern and clean with good water pressure and hot shower.
Value - good value for money at around RM200+/- as surrounding hotels are mostly 5 stars = RM500-700+
Service - was ok but be prepared to wait to check in and out as it is very popular with chinese and indonesian tourists (large numbers and quite loud).
Amenities - they provide all the basic with little fridge, safe, hairdryer and iron.

Room was small but very clean and comfortable for one person. However those with kids or well endowed might find it too small. The location is fantastic - right in Bukit Bintang with tons of eateries, local breakfast shops and malls within walking distance. The only downside was the lobby during check-in and check-out. It gets quite chaotic with lots of tourists hanging around. The lift lobby is also narrow and the lift takes a while to arrive. That said, the staff were quick, professional, helpful and friendly. They also kept guest luggages neat and tidy on one side of the lobby. Overall great value for the location and cleanliness.
