Heart of the medina, fabulous beds and relaxing roof terrace

I loved the interior of the hotel and my bedroom. The beds, linens and having a duvet were all excellent (especially as a lot of places in Morocco have very hard beds, scratchy sheets and blankets). I really appreciated the kettle in the room and the basin plus complimentary bottles of water. I was greeted warmly, given advice on any queries I had. The lower roof terrace is a really lovely space, decked out with cushions to lounge in, plants, decorative plates on walls, tiled tap and tables and chairs - plus a fridge to keep anything you may need. It was great to have wifi in all the areas.
The shared bathroom is a very small shower room that tries to fit in a toilet too. I found it hard to dry and dress in and I'm small. It's also off the roof terrace which isn't ideal for a number of reasons. I was on my own in a twin room, and I think it would have been tight with 2 people with luggage.
Stuff about noise and finding it via google maps as mentioned in other reviews are going to be applicable to any accommodation in the medina. Most of the time Google maps found my way there and the odd time it got it slightly off, I was never far and the locals were immensely helpful pointing me in the right direction (plus I love an explore and wander!)
Overall for my purposes and compared to similar I'd stayed in, I really liked it and would stay again!

Cozy and exquisite attention. Lovely.

The place is very cuckoo.
It has a very cozy rooftop to hang out on.
The service was impeccable and we were given a guided tour without surcharge.
Recommended if you don't expect luxuries.
It is a humble but cozy place, in a very central but noisy area

This location is extremely difficult to locate within the Medina itself. There are no vehicles allowed within as the streets (or alleyways) are too narrow l. Also it is a hike inside if you are carrying luggage. Google maps did not do a very good job of getting me to the location. It kept taking me to an alley or two away from the residence/ lodging. If it was not for a local who took pity on me, I probably would have never found the place the first time.
The staff is quite lovely.
The young lady who generally looks after guests will be leaving soon to continue her education abroad.
I stayed on the ground floor and had a large room, I found the shower amenities were substandard, and the toilet would barely flush. Because I was a ground floor unit, whoever was entering or exiting the lodgings, the noise echoed through the interior and woke me constantly through the night and early morning.
Also, the beds are not comfortable and the bed linens should be updated as they do not stay on the mattresses themselves, but pull up through the night as one adjusts.

dar essaki the best one

Excellent - loved everything about it and highly recommend. Although I enjoyed every place that I stayed while in Morocco, the location, staff, and accommodations at Reves were, by far, the best and truly helped to make the trip even more special. When they say "find your happy place", I'm pretty sure they are referring to the rooftop terrace at Reves d'Orient.

Nice guest house inside Tangier’s medina

The great strengths of this property is that's close from the port, Grand socco, socco chico, and the Kasbah and many other places imn the old city.
The owner Salah and his stuff are really nice.
