Nice food

We have been here several times and usually food is good and tasty. Owners are very nice and like to guarantee that things are always ok.
Try feta cakes for starter and have garopa rice or grilled fish fillet. Steaks are also an excellent option.

Mixed feelings

This guesthouse would have a huge potential with minor improvements. Now there were some issues that need addressing.
The location is good in Polana with a nice neighbourhood and plenty of restaurants and shopping around. The distance to the Independence Square is a bit over 2 km. The Museum of National History was about 700 m away. The street next to the museum had the terminus of several bus lines (the name shown on the buses was simply Museu).
The room was nice and quiet and it had a good aircon. The WiFi signal was a bit on the weak side in my room, my phone lost the connection every now and then.
However a number of seemingly small issues had a big negative effect. No toilet paper or shampoo were provided and even the soap was almost finished. Luckily there was a minimarket very close for buying toilet paper.
The staff I interacted with didn't speak English. The man who was mostly at the front desk didn't even bother to respond to my greetings which I made in English when passing by.
The breakfast was supposed to start at 7 AM. The only day I had breakfast it wasn't ready until 7:40. It was also minimal, consisting of a bread roll, a toast and a fruit.

unfriendly old lady manager or owner?

hotel and staff is pretty good but the manager (old lady is very unfriendly and very arrogant.... i hope she change the attitude with the guest and try to be more friendly.
our company use this hotel for a few times and i hope the other institution, company change this hotel for others.
Price to compare to other hotels is a little bit expansive for a pension.
dear manager, thank you very much for your unpleasant service and I hope this hotel get some one better than you.

The hotel is very large in good location 10 minutes to beech promenade and shops very near to hotel . The food was very good and plenty of choice . The restaurant is very large but no surprises I knew it was 560 rooms . The food was constantly repenlished and a good choice at all seating . Two queen beds in room so no complaints there . The wi if password is change every morning so you have to go down to reception every morning which is a pain and it's slow and very unreliable so that was annoying . It's good value for all inclusive . I would not go back again but that's only because I like sitting outdoors having a drink in the evening enjoying the warm balmy weather we don't get in the uk . The jacranda has no outside bar areas in the evening at all and the pool bar upstairs only has a handful of tables for two which if you are in a group is not good. The piano bar has good entertainment but not everyone wants to sit inside . The bar downstairs is totally covered and a little uninviting but all that said they do an excellent job on cleaning and service at the bars . I would recommend if sitting outside for a drink is no a priority . We always got a subbed upstairs but it it very busy downstairs but no more so than any other complex I have been to around Europe so all in all its a nice hotel .

Nice, quiet place for the budget

Pros:
-Located in a quiet & safe neighborhood within walking distance from cbd area.
-Nice comfortable rooms.
-Not very far from the airport but you have to watch out as some taxi drivers might overcharge you.
Cons:
-Unreliable internet wifi connection.
-Low water pressure in showers
