What a place...

There are hotels and there are Hotels.
If you are looking for the five stars like in Dubai, this may probably not be the right place for you. But, if you are looking for something different, something that will give you an unforgettable experience, this is the place!!
The hosts are great, and caring people, and are doing the best to make you feel at home.
The rooms are simple, but in an old faction style, with big beds and excellent mattresses, duves and pillows.
The dining room and bar in the basement is a museum of all kind of exciting toys and model builds. Absolutely amazing. My wife and I just loved it, and our grandchildren would have loved it as well. The entire hotel is like walk in an exciting museum.
If we ever come back to Dresden again, we know for sure where to stay.

Not recommended

Location great, simple small room with little furniture ,with low bed,old pillows. Ambience is more than questionable, you feel like you are in an old museum. At night it is very noisy through the front door. Bath small but okay. Breakfast just nothing special, no minibar in the room, as I had to store insulin, I don't want to recommend this place, as I had to stand outside as a smoker. Thanks no!!!

“The value for money is not right.”
Normally you should start with the Pro, now we do it the other way around.
Cons:
- House “villa” & rooms outdated, seem quite unkempt.
- Rooms spartan and less lovingly decorated.
- Muffley smell throughout the house.
- Cold water with low pressure.
Pro:
+ Quiet location, with very good public connections.
Summary/conclusion:
For the overnight price we got significantly more in other cities/hotels!
We lacked for breakfast proper bakery rolls, decent jam. A dog has no business in the dining room and kitchen. The rooms are partly very dated, spartan and not lovingly decorated. Here more money was put into the models, paintings and armour than into the house and the rooms.
The public transport connections are excellent, the city of Dresden is worth a trip.

Funky place

This hotel is located in a quiet area just off tram 11 line from the main train station. Hotel has much character, old keys for the doors, charming deco and friend host. Breakfast is good and in a very quaint area of the hotel. Not for the person wanting modern, but if you are looking for a charming unique place this is it.

Perfect place

Biggest bonus of this hotel is its location. Only about five minutes to the nearest tram stop with direct connection to the center of the town. Parking place by the hotel free of charge. Free wifi through Vodfone Hot Spot. We had only two nights without breakfast here. Hotel looks inside like a museum. Our room was big enough, clean with good beds. The staff we met was friendly.
