Good quality hotel in a great location
Great location, right in the centre, close to the train station but remarkably at night no noise. The room was large and well maintained. The bathroom was a good size but would have benefited with a light over the rainfall shower as it was quite dark in there. They could do with upgrading the quality of the towels, they were rather on the small size and thin. They were soaking wet after we had dried ourselves. Check in was quick and efficient and the staff polite. There was plenty of places to eat close bye. We did room only and were happy with that as I think the breakfast was pricy. Would certainly recommend staying there for a few nights in Amsterdam.

Good location. Poor design.
The hotel is in a good location close to the main station and in the centre of things. There are some nice bars very nearby. The bed was comfy and the bedroom was a good size. It has a major design failure though: the bathroom door is glass and the light is only motion controlled; this means that you may be showering in the dark and that the bedroom is flooded with light uncontrollably if you use the bathroom at night.

The hotel's central location was great. However, we couldnt sleep! The bathroom has a sensor-drven light that would turn on not only when we entered the bathroom but also when the nearest person rolled over in bed. And then was on a timer until it turned off again. I have no idea why they wouldnt just have an 'on/off' switch, but we were very tired the next day

Prior to arrival we texted the hotel
Few times that we would like to reserve parking . When we arrived - the concierge directed us ( also in writing and on the phone) to the next door parking . On the next day we were surprised when asked to pay twice than the price on the website. The manager was impolite and aggressive and when we asked for explanation, refusing to take responsibility saying that the website doesn't count ...
in addition- the room has minimum amenities and the refrigerator didn't work .

Nice stay
A very central hotel and close to the station.
We had a nice quiet room. Lovely shower. Although we booked a double it was twin beds pushed together with single duvets on each bed. Great air conditioning.
Very pleasant reception staff.
We were room only so can’t comment on breakfast. There is no restaurant in the hotel but big disappointment was that the bar is only open on a Friday so if you want a drink you either drink in your room or go out and find a nice little bar.
Lots of eating places round about the hotel.

We understand that this may have been less comfortable if you were expecting a room with one double bed. For a future stay, we would recommend booking one of our room types with a king-size bed. Regarding the bar, you're absolutely right that it is not open every day of the week. On evenings when the bar is closed, our reception team is always happy to recommend nearby bars and local favourites, so you can still enjoy everything Amsterdam has to offer.
