Loved the hotel!

I absolutely loved the Room mate Aitana! Modern design, spacious room with a wonderful view, very clean. We stayed in a twin room and were amazed how big the beds were. Also, very comfortable.
The stuff were extremely friendly, professional and helpful, I appreciated late checkout which made travelling back home much easier.
The location is just brilliant, 15 minute walk from the central station and about the same time to the city centre.
The views over the Marina were lovely from the restaurant terrace.
Overall, the experience was absolutely pleasant. I couldn’t wish for more.

Lovely but a little tired

We have just returned from a 2 night break. We are celebrating our silver anniversary with a bucket list of short breaks over the year and booked a suite. We stayed in 550. The room was generally clean with great views over the city but it was tired and in need of some repairs (not what you would exxpect). We have stayed in beautiful rooms all over the world and this was definitely the lower end and not worth the price tag. The room is dominated by an ugly, damaged and ill fitting curtain unfortunately and the bathroom was pretty shabby. Little attentions to detail like bedside tables both sides of the bed were missing, reading lights didn't work and someone had spilt coffee on the beam which had been left. The team at the hotel, however were great and the cocktails were good, as was the breakfast. The location was also good with a short walk from the train station and Jordaan. If you are pushing the boat out for a special occassion I would simply avoid this room.

The room wasnt acceptable which wasnt noticed until the next morning because of our late arrival in the dark. The room was pretty but wasnt cleaned or maintained appropriately. The staff were great once notified and rectified the issue. The property has a high volume of travelers so this should also be put into account. The gym was decent. Pictures would be rude since they cleaned the room, Just making sure to help travelers to know what they are potentially walking into with this high traffic hotel. Thanks again to the staff for fixing the problem but guests shouldn't need to even be in these situations with the amount paid for certain high end accommodations.

Great hotel review

Had a wonderful stay , modern hotel, very clean with welcoming friendly staff. The hotel is very central and a short walking distance from central train station.

Excellent location

Stayed from 15/08 to 18/08/26 with our daughter. We really liked the hotel, great location, quite corner room, excellent views from the room, and fast check‑in and check‑out. Also appreciated how close it is to Amsterdam Central Station.
