Excellent hotel

During our bike ride through Drenthe, this was one of the locations we had chosen to go to sleep. This turned out to be a good choice, the hotel is beautifully situated on the edge of a forest and near Diever. The room was fine. Also the restaurant was very good, with excellent service. In short: Highly recommended.

Have a nice night.

We liked our overnight stay at Landhotel Diever. Spacious room with excellent beds, desk, bedside lamps, luggage rack, spacious bathroom, fridge, coffee/tea maker, beautiful wooded area. Have a nice time. Okay, the hotel is a bit dated in decor ... I estimate it was built in the 70s. But that has its charm. Restaurant good and simple, breakfast simple but the "frills" of culinary breakfast we did not miss. In short .. nice hotel, good base for a few days Drenthe.

Tasteless bitterballs

Nice place, nice terrace, smooth service, wrong bitterballen. Conversation in the kitchen about the wrong bitterballen could be followed on the terrace... unfortunately there was no taste at all and there was virtually no meat in it. For the bitterballen we will not come back!

Hotel has some small points of attention

With the Christmas a 3 day package booked .Our room is clearly in need of maintenance especially bathroom cracks in the tiles sliding door is missing ,closet seat of very cheap material. Room is further a crack in the wall. Heating is slow to get up to temperature .Three days dined 2 days same trimmings cauliflower and broccoli and mashed potatoes and 3 days same salad .Plates were neat though .Breakfast basic little surprising for a Christmas breakfast .The second evening dined in the conservatory cold very unpleasant .Staff were top very attentive and did everything to make you after the sentence especially Yorick . Stood on the third night with 2 people who were not fully trained in the service. Location is beautiful an excellent base for walking and cycling trips.

It just doesn't get top

Although we were put against a wall a bit like 2 wallflowers, this is an otherwise pleasantly decorated restaurant.
The service is attentive and smooth. Although they try, it never gets the relaxed interaction.
The appetizers, tom kha kai soup and the duo of fish are certainly tasty. Some advice a little more of both fish ( mackerel and smoked salmon ) would be allowed because this was very decimated.
Both main courses are then tasty again, and well-portioned.
Overall you can eat tasty here at a reasonable price, but as with the service; it just doesn't get top notch.
