Real hostel feel right at the foot of mount Ulriken

Traveled solo for first time in Bergen Norway for 4 days and this Hostel was exactly what I was looking for. Everything worked, the hostel had huge communal kitchen, breakfast selection was not wide but had everything that was needed, people were happy. The bunk beds in the dormitory were super creaky but a good sleep in a dormitory requires a heavy sleeper anyways.
The Hostel has view to Bergens highest mountain right at the entry, and you just need to cross the road to start the climb. Surrounding area in general is very scenic. Recommended for everyone that knows what they are getting into when sleeping at a hostel and I will go here again since I left 4 mountains unclimbed for next Bergen visit.

Hostel with a fantastic view and typical Hostel services. Attention to the check-in and check-put,only via screen.

Affordable, good accommodation option

Well-structured and organized youth hostel. Bus connection to the city with the Skyzz app is affordable and regular. Recommendation.

Lovely stay at Bergen Hostel Montana.

There’s a good reason why I chose to stay at Bergen Hostel Montana for the second time - and I will surely come again next time I’m in Bergen. The hostel has a diverse community and it has its own identity. The staff are amazing, and can’t thank them enough for their help and good service. Breakfast included is quite good and rather varied with something for everyone, although I personally would love to see warm dishes like back in 2023. As for the location, it’s on top of a hill with a fabulous view of Bergen - the view during breakfast is something that will stick in my mind for long. Bus 12 will get very close to the hostel, and it’s very regular - so nothing to worry about in terms of transportation.

Very good!

We had a very pleasant stay at Montana Hostel. The location is fantastic with great views, the room was clean, and the general service was good.
Breakfast the first day was very good with a good selection. The other day we were a little disappointed by the cooked eggs, which seemed to be from the day before and were very cold after storing in the refrigerator. This is a small improvement point.
We also think that the front desk staff could have been a little smiling and welcoming. A warm welcome does a lot for the guest experience.
Overall, we are very pleased with your stay and would like to recommend Montana Hostel to others who visit Bergen. Thanks for a nice stay!
