Really nice stay. Breakfast and dinner is included and has some fairly decent options to grab a quick bite. Fika and coffee is also served and free. Wonderful location in the heart of Bryggen art District.

£300 per night and NO service

What a massive shame. This hotel is in a great location and the building and decor are great BUT the service is non-existent. Everything is self service... check in, check out, breakfast buffet, dinner buffet (including clearing away your own plates) and tidying the bedrooms.
In order to save the planet (they say) they only clean the rooms every 3 days. I took this to mean they only clean the towels and bedding every 3 days but they do not enter the room for 3 days. This meant that the beds weren't made, the bin not emptied, dirty cups/glasses were not washed and tea/coffee not replaced.
When I asked reception if they could book me a taxi to the airport for our last day they said no. They told me I could book an Uber on my phone.
They is a small bar but it is unmanned and the reception staff close it at 10pm.
None of this would have bothered us too much if we had picked a budget hotel but we paid £300 per night for a double room!!! I know that Norway is expensive but this is a rip-off for what you get.
We were very very disappointed and won't be using Strawberry Hotels in the future.

Hotel has a "no service" approach to room, on environmental justification - this should be made clear at check-in, so guests would have the option to request service, and change of towels, if they so choose, at check-in. Often, especially with late check-in the opportunity would be missed.

Stay in Bergen

Stay in Bergen at this hotel, nothing to complain about, everything was great. The breakfast, the view, the proximity to the city center, the staff, and the hotel itself. Thanks again for the welcome and the service provided. We recommend this establishment without a doubt.

Terrible Norway Hotel

My wife and I were on a tour and arrived at 5:30 pm. The tour had 23 people, one guide and one bus driver. When we arrived we were told that out of 13 rooms only four were available. Ours was not one of them. We were told to check back every 30 minutes. The guide was quite upset but the desk clerk said it was out of her control. We eventually got a room at 7:00 pm while our friends did not get theirs until after 8 pm. Our room had a strange odor but we were too tired to complain and of course there were no other rooms. We were there for two days with no housekeeping and we had to request towels. A very bad experience.
