BEWARE beds & bugs
The beds at the Dom Pedro Lisboa Hotel are old, with pointy springs that make restful sleep near impossible. When I finally managed to get down, I woke to find myself covered in bed bug bites from my ankles to above my knees. Our one night here put a damper on our whole two week vacation, not to mention the stress and expense of sterilizing all our belongings upon returning home. Never again.
Regent, take note: on the hotel spectrum, this is closer to a nice Holiday Inn than a dated Four Seasons. It does not live up to expectations for your brand.

As part of our continuous commitment to enhancing our guests' comfort and overall experience, the hotel made a significant investment in July 2025 with the complete renovation of all guest rooms. This project included the replacement of all headboards, bed bases, mattresses and bed linen, with the installation of premium mattresses, carefully selected to provide the highest standards of comfort, quality and rest.
The health, safety and wellbeing of our guests remain our highest priorities, which is why we take any report of this nature extremely seriously. We were particularly concerned to read your review, as no issue of this kind was brought to the attention of our team at any point during your stay. We sincerely regret not having had the opportunity to investigate your concerns while you were still at the hotel, as we would have immediately relocated you to another room, conducted a thorough inspection, and taken any necessary precautionary measures. Prompt reporting of concerns such as these is essential, as it enables us to investigate without delay and ensure the wellbeing of all our guests.
Following your review, we immediately commissioned an outsourced provider inspection. Their inspection found no evidence of infestation in the room. Furthermore, the room has accommodated numerous guests since your departure, none of whom have reported any similar concerns.
However we regret any distress this situation may have caused.
At Dom Pedro Lisboa, we remain fully committed to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene and guest comfort. We appreciate your feedback, as it enables us to continually review our procedures and uphold the level of quality and service our guests expect and deserve.

Superb stay

Family of Five Liesure Stay (w/Kids)
We enjoyed the attention to detail, cleanliness, high quality beddings and personalized service provided by hotel staff. At every level from on-site Booking and Reservations to Guest Relations, Front-Desk, Catering and Housekeeping Teams our family were afforded a specially curated and personalized service that comes highly recommended. The flexibility of hotel teams in making facilities available to manage our son's severe food allergies during the stay is a testimony to the responsiveness we value as a family when we travel.

A fantastic hotel
The rooms are spacious, very clean and comfortable. The staff are friendly, extremely responsive, courteous and kind. The spa is soothing. Overall a terrific experience.
