Colourful and Friendly Hostel in Faro
Lovely hostel in Faro in an interesting and beautiful building. Generous communal areas to socialise and chat with fellow travellers. Books to read. Good communal kitchen. Helpful staff. Can be noisy at night with other hostellers in the corridors but that it to be expected.

Stay at TILLIA HOSTEL : AMAZING

We loved :
Amazing location: very close to the marina, the restaurants and boutiques. Right in the center of the old town. There are many drugstores and little supermarket nearby. Approximately 15 minutes from the airport. We took a taxi for approx 15euros.
Extremely clean and neat little hostel and room. Everyone was so welcoming and helpful. We stayed in room 4, suitable for two people (two single beds). AC was very cool and not so noisy (you control yourself with the remote).
There's a small window in the room, a little desk with a chair, two nightstand with lamps and one television. Pillows and beds were very comfortable and extremely clean.
The access to your room is secured with a card for which they take a 5 euros deposit and give back when checking out.
The bathroom has a closed door. Water was very hot and the shower is huge. We really appreciated the hooks in the bathroom (so many hostels don't have any). Theres a hairdryer on the wall.
There's a shared kitchen which was extremely convenient. You can leave few items in the fridge with your name on it. You have access to utensils and items to cook and clean. Some people leave food you can use. Tap water is drinkable in the kitchen.
There's a living room accessible 24/7, with a piano, a babyfoot table and chairs.
There's a very cute rooftop with tables you can enjoy. Some nights there was a bar where you could purchase drinks. Some morning there was yoga for all to join.
There's accessible laundry in the hostel and RACKS to dry your items.
You can borrow umbrellas for the beach (we didn't).
There's some noises at night and in the morning, but nothing to make it impossible to sleep, or be mad about. Very minor inconvenience.
Suggestions/not available:
- no mini fridge in the room (you can use the ones in the kitchen)
- it would be a major plus if there were hooks/racks to suspend your clothes in the room. We had to leave it all packed in our suitcases.
- Suitcases holder would also be cool
- No face clothes (but we didn't ask for any)
- Only hand soap distributor next to the sink: no shampoo or soap in the shower.
* We do not have comments on the shared bedrooms/bathroom since we stayed in a private room. *
Activities :
* In the center near the water : we had some drinks ok the rooftop of FARO HOTEL? Which has amazing a views, especially during golden hour.
* We had lunch at RESTO ARRIVÉE
* The ferry wheel I'd only 5 euros pp and offers great views of the whole city
* we took the train to go to Lagos : two hours, comfortable and cheap : 8 euros per person. We were able to purchase the morning do the ride, but you can buy tickets in advance.
* We took a Uber to Albufeira, but there are some buses too. Approx 40 minutes.

Amazing
I only stayed one night, but I wouldn't mind extending! Warm and welcoming team, spacious room and comfortable bedding, even in rooms of 12!

Excellent hostel
An excellent hostel located centrally in Faro. Very helpful staff that you could ask about everything. Friendly atmosphere so that you felt at home. Comfortable beds. We stayed on the first floor and could have the window open to the street without being disturbed during the night.

Pretty hostal in a quiet part of Faro
This was a quick one night before I took off for Lisbon but it was very comfortable and the reception staff were very friendly and helpful.
I stayed in female room for 4 but there were only 2! The other lady was leaving early the next morning so I woke up around 5am .. but hey you have to accept in a hostel this may happen.
Bed had a curtain, a light and a socket and was very comfortable.
The room had a private bathroom and a big locker with a key. It is in a quiet part of Faro yet not far from the bus and train station, and the main part of town. There is an outdoor terrace with a nice common room and a separate kitchen.
