Chic, Basic and Fabulous!

We had a really lovely stay in Casa Teva. Very friendly staff and a lovely welcome drink and chat at check-in with Louisa. We really liked the location as it had a lovely local feel about it and the evening buzz was great. Nice bars, and restaurants. Had some great cocktails and food very close by. Much preferred it to the real tourist spots elsewhere. Slept well which doesn't often happen in hotels. Breakfast was fabulous, with fresh everything and the added option of a Mimosa! The freshly baked cakes were particularly fabulous. Thank you all for helping make our Lisbon visit relaxing and enjoyable.

Disappointing Stay Despite Promising Design.

I booked a hotel in Lisbon for Christmas, and while the welcome was pleasant, there were several issues during our stay.
First, the directions from the metro to the hotel were unclear. We ended up walking around for about 40 minutes before finding it. Clearer instructions such as advising guests to cross the main road, take the stairs or elevator to the upper level, and then turn right would have made a big difference.
Although I liked the overall design of the hotel, the finishing quality was poor. The staff were not particularly friendly and came across as somewhat insincere. When I asked for some Christmas restaurant recommendations, I was told they would send me options via WhatsApp, but I never received anything! After following up later, I was only given two suggestions. Since my child does not eat seafood, we decided to go out and find a place on our own.
The following day, my child developed a red, itchy rash. I raised my concerns with the receptionist, mentioning that the carpet had appeared dusty since the first day and that nothing had been done about it. The staff member dismissed the issue, suggesting it was nothing serious and applying some disinfectant. However, my child continued to experience discomfort throughout the day.
I also requested a formal report from a professional pest control or disinfection service, but I have not till now received any response. I feel the situation was not handled with the seriousness it deserved, especially given that I later learned similar issues have occurred in other hotels in Lisbon.

We stayed in the four-person suite which was two adjoining rooms on the 3rd floor. The hotel is lovely - the beds are big and comfortable. The shower had the best water pressure and h to e hotel is very clean. The best part is that all the front desk staff spoke perfect English and were incredibly kind and helpful. They let us store bags early in the morning. The breakfasts were delicious. The only downside is that the Saints Party going on for the month of a June outside the hotel played very loud music until 1 a.m. the festival adds color to the neighborhood and there’s nothing the hotel can do about the noise but it was really, really loud.

Well located, friendly staff - especially Laura on check in - and high quality furnishings and rooms. The rooms on the first floor suffer from sound pollution from the GF lobby. Breakfast was continental, and coffee is pods from a machine so worth heading out.

Well located hotel in Lisbon. Laura from reception really made our stay great and was very helpful. We rarely eat hotel breakfast, but Casa Teva’s breakfast is wonderful. The beds and pillows at the hotel are also top notch! Would stay here again.
