Great central hotel .
Check in was quick and friendly we arrived early but our room was ready .
We had a room on 4 th floor perfect as it’s a busy street so we’re away from any noise .
Lift was out of order but as we were both reasonably fit was no issue, the luggage was taken up and down for us so again no issues.
The room was adequate in size for two nights and so central .
Bed was comfortable and bathroom was very clean.
Breakfast was absolutely excellent, great quality produce and plenty of variety.

Fantastic hotel to stay
We had a wonderful stay at the International Design Hotel in Lisbon, especially as we were celebrating our honeymoon. Our room was clean, comfortable, and very welcoming, but what truly made our stay special was the exceptional service.
Gerson at the front desk was incredibly friendly and helpful. He recommended some wonderful places to eat and gave us useful information that made exploring Lisbon even more enjoyable. His kindness and warm welcome really made a difference.
We would also like to thank the manager, Luis, for his exceptional attention. We received such thoughtful and special treatment during our honeymoon, which made our stay feel even more memorable and personal.
The hotel is in the perfect location, right in the heart of Lisbon and close to everything. We also loved the fabulous breakfast buffet, which offered a great variety of choices. The bus station was conveniently nearby, making it very easy for us to get around and visit the different places we wanted to see.
Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would highly recommend the International Design Hotel to anyone visiting Lisbon. The wonderful location, excellent service, comfortable room, and genuinely friendly staff made our honeymoon stay truly special.

The hotel has a great location but their rooms and amenities are terrible. We stayed in room 410 on the 4 th floor. To get to the rom we took the elevator and then had to go down 10 steps to rich the room which was hard for us because of our age 70 and my husband 76. We got to our hotel very late like 11:00 PM very tired from coming from Obidus and just did not have the energy to go down and make changes. We got to the room and looked very outdated and basically no room to store and put our stuff. Besides the room being small it had the ceiling being lower on almost half of the room and my husband hit his head once of twice. The worst part was the bathroom that was awful small , 2 people not being able to be in at the same time. If one of us was on the toilet you couldn’t open the door for the other one to go in and also to get in the shower witch was blocked by the door couldn’t be open unless you closed the bathroom door. We did not request any change because we had only two night stay and one of them was the one we got there late and the other one was before we left to come home to US . I complained about it to the night reception and on the day of departure just to tell them about our concern that that room was not meant to be given to a couple but just a single person. This hotel is a 1 star hotel and they should not charge $ $234 a night for what they offer. This was a superior room , we paid extra to get a better room and we got the worst room we ever got traveling .

Great location, right off Rossio Square and a few blocks uphill from the major square on the water. Flat, walkable area in a hilly city. Room was nice. Air conditioning great. The fish restaurant on premises was excellent. It was recommended in a tour magazine. The best part of the hotel is the staff. Very friendly and helpful. Afonzo helped us with information, maps, checking info on the internet, weighing our luggage, giving directions, etc. always with a smile. Gets in and Rita and other front desk people were also very helpful. Tiego in the restaurant was funny and engaging and made great suggestions. Breakfast was quite extensive and even had made to order omelettes.
Only suggestion is to have grab bars in the shower.

The location was amazing, it was very central to everything! We could pretty much walk to everything in the Alfama/Baixa/Chiado area. Day trip to Sintra was easy taking the metro from Rosario station and there was a 15E bus stop to go to LX Factory and Belem if you didn't want to use Uber/Bolt. Staff was always helpful and friendly. The only downside was that our room was pretty small so we had find ways to squish our suitcases. However, the location and convenience, and price that we got couldn't be beat!
