What can you say? Perfect from start to finish! They should not only be Michelin led but have a star!!!

If I were to design the perfect hotel, it would look very much like Palacete Severo. This is a rare gem where everything feels effortlessly right: the elegant décor, the warmth and attentiveness of the staff, the lush gardens, the superb restaurant, the generous breakfast, the wonderfully comfortable beds and the breathtaking pool. Every detail has been considered, yet nothing feels contrived.
Palacete Severo offers that rarest form of luxury: beauty without pretension and impeccable service delivered with genuine warmth. Stay here for a romantic escape, to celebrate something special, or simply to celebrate the pleasure of being alive. If you are travelling to Porto, look no further.

Not for us

We stayed in Porto for one week and wanted to explore different neighbourhoods, so we decided to book this hotel, even though it was a little farther from the city centre. Unfortunately, that turned out to be a mistake. The surrounding neighbourhood isn't very pleasant, there isn't much nearby, and it's quite a long walk to the centre.
On the positive side, both the dinner and breakfast were delicious. However, the garden was also disappointing—it looks much larger in the photos, and we had hoped it would be a peaceful place to relax, but that wasn't the case.
Overall, we found the hotel to be overpriced for what it offers. Unfortunately, we don't see any reason to recommend staying here. The hospitality was lacking. No welcome note in the room. In other places we stayed we had Porto and chocolate in our rooms, in here nothing. Not really generous.

Excellent - a true 5 star experience.

We stayed here during a business trip in June. The hotel is so beautifully renovated, with a beautiful garden with sculptures and a nice heated pool (good for swimming laps, which I did one day). The staff are exceptional. Professional, friendly and knowledgeable. I wish I could remember all of the front desk staff names - you were all so friendly and helpful; thank you. Especially Nunu - who really knows the city - ask him if. you need advice on where to go. The food is great - we only had breakfast but it was fantastic. One restaurant is Michelin starred and the other is more casual - they both book up quickly so make reservations in advance.
