Domotel Xenia Volos

We had a lovely spacious sea facing room with a balcony. Beware that the city facing rooms looked very small. We were on the 3rd floor and there is a terrific rooftop open-air bar on the same floor. An excellent breakfast was included and it’s a half mile/one kilometer walk to the marina/downtown area. I highly recommend it if you’re in Volos!

Ok but would not return.

Excellent location for everything. Check in was easy. Most of the staff are polite and friendly. When I asked for an iron one was brought up immediately. The pool was a lovely temperature.
This isn’t a 5 star hotel. It’s dated. The shower leaked. The aircon was not cold. The breakfast wasn’t adequate. The pool is at the front of the hotel which make it quite awkward to walk back though the lobby in your swimsuit in front of guest checking in.
The beach infront of the hotel was covered in litter and broken glass. It was very uninviting especially with a toddler. The service was slow at the rooftop bar and the staff were rude.
I would not return and I’m confused by all the excellent reviews.

Well-maintained hotel in a nice spot on the beach of Volos.

We visited the hotel with my husband for a 3-day New Year 2026. We found a very good offer for a room with sea view and half-food (1st evening a la carte dinner, buffet reception with live music, New Year's lunch buffet). The hotel is in good condition. Our room was on the 4th floor and from the balcony the sea was right below. You had the feeling you were hanging. The view was also nice and towards the beach or the city from other points of the hotel. It also has a Sky bar with nice DJ music.
The breakfast was satisfying, except the coffee that in no hotel is good through the professional coffee machines. The food in the buffet was rich but moderate in terms of flavors. The Chef who once was present at the buffet, challenged me to eat his chickens and tell him my opinion. Although I promised him, then I hesitated, because he would not sound the best of me. Years ago, I didn't want to look rude. The a la carte meal I can say was better, we ate 2 nights. However, the service at the hotel was very good. The staff, both in the reception and in the restaurants very good. On New Year's Eve we found in our room a king's pie and a knife to cut it. The hotel has the advantage that it is located on the beautiful beach of Volos and is offered for long walks. Apart from the beach and the chiparadicas (which one should not miss to visit) Volos has not much to offer.

Τα σχόλιά σας είναι πολύτιμα και έχουν ήδη μεταφερθεί στην ομάδα μας, καθώς μας βοηθούν να εξελισσόμαστε και να βελτιωνόμαστε συνεχώς. Excellent hotel with stunning views (we had a sea view room with balcony), great breakfast, exquisite service all around, walking distance to city centre and local beaches, highly recommend.
Only.nag is that the spa does not allow under 16s and is closed Sunday and Monday.

Calm and rest

Very quiet quiet hotel with beautiful views of Volou and the beach. Very helpful staff at all posts and very good and satisfying breakfast. It is quite convenient for walking and swinging.
