Disappointing
Booked a room with a balcony. Didn’t research enough to realise it overlooked a derelict building. Put our own water in the mini bar fridge which wasn’t even plugged in and when we asked reception for ice they said they didn’t have any! The bathroom door is frosted glass but you can still see through it. It’s a great location for the old town but not on the best street. Advertise a Sky Bar but absolutely no sign of life up there.

Bed bugs attack
Great location, beautiful room, quiet, new bathroom, nice staff. It is good 3* tourist hotel with 4* room design (basic mattress, could be better). I wanted to give 5* review, but unfortunately I came back home terribly bitten by BED BUGS (room 205). I have allergy and now suffer. Marks appear 24/48 hrs after bugs attack, it was the only hotel on my way, so bugs were there for sure. Bucharest has problem with bed bugs, even in good hotels.

A disappointment after booking
Filitti is a well located hotel in Bucharests old town, its conveniently next to one of the main roads but not too noisy so easy for cabs but still comfortable. Don’t be put off by some of the derelict buildings nearby, whilst not the prettiest they have their own charm and never feel unsafe.
The rooms are comfortable, recently decorated by the looks of things and tidy.
That said, Filitti was a bit of a disappointment. The jewel in its crown on every booking site being the rooftop panoramic bar is shut, and has been for a long time. There is no on site bar at all and coffee facilities are paid for in the reception.
The rooms whilst modern, were basic and the floor was so hard wearing it felt like it should be in a shed. The windows were dangerous, opening floor to ceiling with no safety barrier. One of the three rooms we booked had a leak and reception gave us towels to lay on the floor. One room had several flies in the bathroom. The windows are also not fully frosted so people in buildings next to us had full sight into the shower and toilet.
The lift was tiny, enough for 2 people and a case at a push, and rhe stairs were not passable with luggage given their tight spiral and darkness.
We found staff to be cold, not very attentive and quite rude.
We would not stay here again.

Bug bites
Just had a 3 night stay at this hotel and me and my sister both experienced bites whilst staying in room 402. We are both covered in bites and it only occurred when sleeping and bites would appear in the morning. We have returned home to the uk and one particular bite has become so red and infected my sister has had to seek medical treatment.
The trip was lovely and the hotel was lovely otherwise. The location is central and it served its purpose but this has really put a downer on the trip/experience. I’d hate for anyone else to get bites from staying in the hotel. Did inform reception as we were checking out but they didn’t seem bothered that we were covered in bites, maybe a language barrier I don’t know but I’ve seen another review saying they had bites after staying in room 402. Lastly, breakfast is very very poor, I was completely shocked at how bad it was.

Absolutely not!
Comfortable double room for 2, only both in our room and in that of our friends there were windows from which to look out but without a balcony! Very dangerous!
In the bathroom there is half opaque window glass so you could not see it from the outside but the other half was transparent (ie glass without film)! To shower we had to wait for everything to tarnish!
Cold room despite a kind of thermostat set to maximum.
Rude staff, they don't make an effort to speak Italian at least because they don't have to tell you something that interests them! Sweet breakfast very scarce. The hotel is in a convenient location but in front there is a dilapidated building that was a bit scary!
In the corridors there were always huge trolleys full of dirty stuff, it was not a pretty sight.
I attach photos of the opposite building, the skimpy breakfast and the glass (which corresponded in the shower) half transparent!
