Travellers beware

Thank you for canceling our accommodation a few hours before check in. Spending 3 hours on the phone with Booking.com “customer service” to relocate us was the most pleasant experience we have ever encountered. They were so welcoming and generous that we’ve got offered a student campus with shared toilets located outside the city as a replacement.

Book if you want to sleep on the streets

I booked a 3 days wellness trip for myself and my partner and chose this flat because it’s central location, reviews on booking.com (7.8 score) and price.
I received the following when I was boarding the plane. Arrived in Bucharest with no place to sleep. Avoid this property.

Booked with Booking, luckily at least they offered us an alternative, because the gentleman in question didn't show up, more than 3 hours waiting outside the house
to be reported to the authorities, people like this should be under a bridge not managing hospitality businesses

Unacceptable

One of the same and we... we made a reservation through booking we paid two months ago... a week ago again through booking they asked for our details and flight number where I sent them.. we arrive in Bucharest all missing no one answered any call.. we started the phones at booking and I send emails to them and booking too... they sent us a cancellation message while I told them in the email that we were outside the house in -3 degrees and snowing.... they claimed they had a problem in their software and they didn't see our booking....and two months before and a week before arrival the same problem???? Booking replied that they were informed that it was overbooked... Fortunately we found another room quickly in another accommodation...

AWFUL

We got scammed by the owner of the property. We payed in advance for for our booking(1 month ahead) during which the communication with the owner went smoothly. On the day we were supposed to check-in, we couldn't contact the owner, they didn't answer the phone or on the booking.com app. We went directly to the property at 15.00, even though we had no specific information regarding the check-in details(the hour was the only specified detail). We waited for 3 HOURS in front of the property, tired and starving. Thankfully, we were able to solve the issue after contacting customer service. They got in touch with the owner, who cancelled the booking afterwards and we managed to get our money back. DO NOT EVEN ATTEMPT TO BOOK AN APARTMENT FROM URBANIKA, PLEASE. AND ALWAYS CHECK ADDITIONAL APPS/SITES FOR REVIEWS.
