Great place to stay in Irkutsk

We really enjoyed our stay at the Green Hotel in September. It was affordable, close to public transportation and shops. The property was attractive on the outside and very clean on the inside. We would recommend this hotel to fellow travelers without hesitation.

There were comments about the cleanliness of the bedding... in some places there were strange stains.
I forgot the phone cable in the room. I called and warned that I would come to Sl. trip as a result of +- 2.5 months I was passing through again and called and, as it turned out, they had already taken it. It’s unclear who and when. I had to go get a new cable - 3000 rubles per day. Be careful if you forgot something, it’s probably already lost.

Average stay

The hotel is located relatively close to the city. It has secure parking (though expensive!), large, clean rooms and staff are very friendly. But there are no laundry facilities, no tea/coffee facilities in the room and it isn't allowed to use your own water boilers to make your own tea. The bed is terrible with springs cutting into your back all night long. For the facilities offered the hotel was way overpriced and there are nicer and cheaper places to stay in Irkutsk.

Horrible

This hostel (no way hotel) is cheap in consonance with its quality&comfort. Its situated in a horrible place, far from city centre and surounded by old and semibuilt buildings. Difficult even to taxi drivers to reach.
Rooms are bad decorated, with no fancy furniture at all, no mini bar, no sheets, just one towel, no security box, bad wireless, uncomfortable bed...we payed 3 nights and just stayed one due to the bad mood it turn us on. Of course the day after nobody cleaned the room, nobody changed the sheet (just one), nobody changed the towels...awful.
Quite nice staff with little english knowledge. They are happy to help in the way they can. They called taxis any time we needed it.
We payed in advance before seeing the room otherwise we would never have payed it.
Absolutely non recommended by me.

We are so sad that you had a negative experinece about staying in our hotel. The times has changed and we have improved.We are sure that you will change you mind about our hotel if you will come to our hotel again:) Just give us a chance.
Hotel is located in a good place. It is easy to take a taxi. Moreover, we have bus stops, not far from the hotel (7 minutes by foot).We have a lot of restourants near the hotel.Shops and others places. Near the hotel is located old historical buildings. Alot of tourists make photos of these buildings. Our hotel is modern building with good furniture, which we change with times. All photos on Booking.com is real. You can see and get what you expect. Now we have an excelelent Wi-Fi. We have a new director of the hotel and the hotel is really gets better.So we hope, that you will give us another chance.

Great service, English assistance, comfortable and great value!

Ended up staying here for 4 nights due to lost baggage drama and had a really great experience. Kelliel and Ira were a great help with their English skills and willingness to help. Assisted with multiple taxi bookings which were great as we knew the price before paying and didn't get ripped off. Also helped with arranging tickets onward, but more importantly were friendly, courteous, and keen to help. Highly recommended, and extremely great value for money too.
