Real hospitality in the heart of Barcelona
Casa Camper is a beautiful boutique hotel in the heart of Barcelona's old quarter, stylishly designed, with facilities that are luxurious without ostentation, and with a uniquely Catalan character. But it's the wonderful staff that really set it apart - they're personable, humourous and always obliging. Thank you Jorge and team!

Great hotel in the heart of Barcelona. Staff were very nice and helpful. Rooms were large clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay again!

The staff were kind, the room lovely, but the decor is starting to appear a little tired and dark.
I don’t like the payment system that has been introduced to the “minibar” lounge downstairs which in years past was included and a wonderful way to meet other guests.
It is expensive for what you get nowadays, and isn’t the unique and different experience that it was.
We won’t be returning, which is sad for me; I was a real regular at one point.

It is a nice property, and to be fair, I arrived early, and I was able to check in early, which was great after 3 flights. I originally booked my stay for 3 nights, but had to change my plans due to volunteer work I was doing in Africa starting earlier than I originally thought. They refused to work with me and change my arrangement, leaving me on the hook for 3 nights when I only stayed 1. We all know that there is always something that a hotel can do to help, but they wouldn't budge, and it was an expensive one-night stay. I pre-arranged a transfer to and from the airport through the link that they provided me, which I paid for upfront. They told me that there was no transfer arranged, even though I paid for it and had the email confirmation and receipt, so they called me a taxi. While I was on the way to the airport, the driver called me because he was waiting for me, so I paid twice for the transfer. They refused to refund me even though it was their mistake and I used their link for the booking. Hotels are set up to help, and this one did not. The man at the front desk was the one I dealt with for both issues, and he was short with me, telling me to ask the driver for a refund instead of the hotel. Due to their lack of hospitality and willingness to be flexible, I would not recommend them for international travel, because things happen and it is important to work with people - they will not do that. On the bright side, it had nice showers, and it is a good location.

Quirky boutique vibes
A lovely boutique hotel showcasing great Spanish design. It offers more of an immersive brand experience, rather than a typical money-grabbing chain vibe. The staff are, on the whole, warm and welcoming, and the superb rooftop bar and terrace features sun loungers. Many rooms include a quirky, separate chill room complete with a hammock. My only criticism is that the restaurant and lobby air conditioning was uncomfortably cold to sit in. All in all, a very positive experience!
