Perfect vacation
The hotel is in a prime location on Cala Galdana; our room overlooked the sea and it was wonderful to be on the balcony early in the morning. The breakfast was excellent, also with a sea view and a wide selection of sweet and savory options. Direct access to the beach. Room not very large but comfortable. General cleanliness was excellent, including the room and bathroom. Very courteous and helpful staff. Thank you.

Hotel maximum 4 stars
This is a 5-star hotel but it is 4. Breakfast with cheeses, embedded and regular quality fruits, including the poorly presented fruits. The omelet made on time was something exceptional good. We acquired the suite with front view to the sea and were surprised by the landscape of a metal cover and trees, as shown below. When we questioned at the reception they said that this was the chosen room in front of the sea. Although the hotel is walking in the sand does not have a beach service and we had to rent 2 chairs and sunscreen for 24,00 euros a day. The hotel even has a shower after the beach. There's a place a little hidden just to wash your feet. The beach bar and restaurant chairs are completely uncomfortable. The hotel staff consisting of seemingly inexperienced people seemed to be interns. Even at the reception there was often only one person to attend. Which is worth it: the beach and the sea of Cala Galdana are beautiful and the hotel is not bad, but it is not a 5 star experience.

Hoping for better
I am writing this review based on my 3 previous stays at this hotel, i dont normally write them but a friend reminded me how heavily i rely on them so thought it was a good idea. Also helpful to know what the crack is with the different rooms I am going back again in 3 weeks and will write another then and hope its more positive
My last trip was end of August last year and before that was the year prior.
At this point, my continous returning to the hotel is mostly based on the fact that i travel alone so like to know where im going and the location of this hotel is beautiful.
On my first stay i had booked a Melia room with Galdana view, i wasnt onThe level package as i though a 5 star hotel i shouldnt need to be. When i got to my room i was very dissapointed, there was a sewage smell and it was incredibly small ( the size i could have got over ) as the view was so beautiful. I went for a lie down and the damp/sewage smell was so bad i decided to complain as i had spent close to £1000 for just 3 nights half board . After a while the manager came from the back and offered me an upgrade to the level room ( without even checking my original room for a smell which told me they were aware of the problem ). The level room was much better albeit still small but no smell and she allowed me access to the Infinity pool but not the lounge.
The rest of my stay was nice
Then when i decided to go back i couldnt face the hassle of going through all that again (so decided to spend the extra and go for the level , my 2nd visit i was in a Level juinior suite with front sea view, this room was beautiful and the view amazing, long and thin though so next time i decided to opt for the level junior suite which is one of the corner suites which are so lovely and spacious however has a smaller balcony . When i arrived on this occasion i was kept waiting till well after 3 to check in and was then taken to the wrong room , i pointed out i had booked the corner suite , then i had to wait even longer to get in the correct room, all of this is very annoying on the first day of your holiday . I did find after that the staff were slightly off with me . Like i say this is a beautiful hotel as long as you book The level which is pricy and i like going due to its location and i know what im getting. I have emailed the hotel prior to my next visit and explained this and requested an early check in and i really hope they can turn it around for me as i have seen other reviews say they got such wonderful service.
The level lounge access is amazing for breakfast , snacks and drinks throughout your stay. The gym could be slightly bigger.
I did lie on the beach each day for a few hours and dont mind paying the extra for a lounger.

Great views, lovely staff and the Junior Suite was exceptional
The most perfect location in Cala Galdana. The views are stunning, simple and easy access to the talcum powder like beach with the main entrance so easy to then navigate various routes to walk the many trails and paths around the resort

The free activities are great
Dani was great! We did a walk to Cala Mitjana with a couple of stops for beautiful photos. It was wonderful.
I also tried the pool exercise lessons and pilates which were fun and challenging
