Beautiful Historic Hotel with Incredible Views
Hotel is wonderfully located just below the UNESCO Alhambra site. Great location, beautiful historic hotel. Lovely staff, very helpful. Large bedroom with own large balcony offering great sights of the city below and experienced the eclipse in full. Good options to dine in house in both the restaurant and on the terrace. The breakfast is very well laid out with lots of options, one of the best we experienced.

Wonderful of all aspects. We stayed three nights in the heart of real history . We experienced the aura of history alongside the warm welcome from all the palace hosts, complemented by exceptional service and supreme comfort.

The hotel has wonderful, attentive staff. The ongoing renovations were a bit of an issue, but I trust they will be over soon. The hotel itself is perfectly located -gorgeous views!

A 1910 Gem of a Palace
When my husband and I first arrived at the hotel, it looked a bit dated, but we were wrong. You have to look around the entire hotel, exploring hidden areas, to see the amazing detail that went into this 1910 gem! It was old world charm beauty! The outdoor balcony restaurant space overlooked the entire city! The breakfast in the restaurant was well done. When Spain won the World Cup, we saw and heard the excitement of the city, on the balcony. Although the hotel is not in the downtown area, it is only a short work downhill to be there. We had been traveling throughout Spain when we arrived here. It was so wonderful to be in a quiet location with the lovely forest across the street that surrounds the Alhambra. We spent time just taking a walk in the forest to relax. The staff was very accommodating. Because I don't eat red meat, ham, or shellfish, I was able to have dinner at the hotel without an issue. On our last day, a special tapas platter was made for me taking into account my food profile. There is no pool or spa at this hotel, but there is a small workout space. If you are looking to relax, sit and have a cocktail in the quiet lobby and bar area, or dinner with a view, I would definitely recommend this hote.!

My overall impression of the hotel was average. While the lobby and restaurant were beautifully decorated, the guest room was in need of a major update. The furniture was dated, the living room carpet was worn and coming apart, there were only two small chairs for seating, and parts of the bed frame were damaged.
For a highly rated hotel, I expected a much higher standard of décor, amenities, and overall upkeep. We were also told at check-in that we would receive a 20% discount at the restaurant because we booked through Expedia, but the discount was not honored despite bringing it to their attention. Regardless, the food was overpriced, underwhelming, and the restaurant was noticeably understaffed, resulting in slow service.
I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel this hotel simply did not provide the value or quality expected for the price.
