Another great stay here !
This was our 2nd time staying here. Checking in with a large group was taxing bit we got through it. Had yo wait passed 3pm for our room, no problems this time air condition working fine. Its about a 25 minute drive from the airport located at the top a hill surrounded by forests. Perfect. If you have any problems with walking or stairs this place isn't for you ! The bar staff are the best. Food usual selection for everyone. Snack bar open till 6pm.
Daily entertainment in the evening and activities in the day if you're interested.
About a 10 minute walk to the best beach ever. 10 euros for beds 10 for umbrellas. 5 euros cab if you don't want to walk. The apartments next to the pool are not air conditioned, fans only. I was in B block. A couple flights of stairs but not a problem. House keeping every other day. No late check out rooms available. The only drawback is in the evening not enough outside seating for everyone so get your seat early. We will definitely come back here in the future as it's a peaceful area to stay. Thank you to all the staff that made our holiday great.

Great Location with some improvements possible that didn’t spoil our holiday.
Cala Llonga is a great bay. Montemar is up a steep hill from the beach.
The apartments are spread over a steep site with lots (I mean lots) of steps.
Beautiful setting surrounded by trees. Some apartments have lovely big balconies with great views. Great to be able to ALWAYS get a bed around pool. Food satisfactory on all Inc. did the job. Strange that they limit certain drinks at different meal times. My son doesn’t like fizzy drinks so his dinner choice was water. No beer either in restaurant.
Room was adequate. Not much space around the bed in the double bed room and child had to walk through bedroom to access toilet. A little bit old but clean sheets and regular towel changes. Also a comfy mattress and good curtains.
I felt the pool could do with a bit of attention. Slightly green around the water line and broken steps - noted this on previous reviews but the wobbly steps still there. All Inc drinks good queues good for an all Inc except for days with only 1 bar staff. Also great snack bar with abrupt service.
When we looked this was one of the cheapest options on Ibiza and we found it satisfactory but feel that certain things could be improved. For instance the bins on the path by us weren’t emptied for days and staff just piled up bags of rubbish around them.
The setting and layout of rooms would mean I would stay again as it is peaceful and beautiful.
You need to be fit to get up the steps.

Family Summer Holiday
We stayed as a family group of 10 for 5 nights from the 20th to 25th July, we had all stayed at the hotel before and we all had a really great time.
Our rooms were clean and comfortable; we had a very useful fridge in our rooms and although two of our party had a problem with the air conditioning it was resolved and a new unit was fitted.
The pool is lovely; the hotel was full but there were plenty of sun beds and places to sit. The public areas were always kept clean and the pool and surrounding areas were cleaned every morning. We always put our rubbish in the bins provided and tidied up before leaving the bar / pool area however we noticed that some people left the tables covered in dirty plates and rubbish and didn’t clear up after themselves which made more work for the cleaning staff, a little consideration for others goes a long way.
The staff worked very hard, especially the bar staff and the entertainments team. Yes, there were queues at the bar but we were quite happy with the token system for drinks. We did think they were short staffed at times and did need at least 2 people on duty at the bar all of the time in peak season.
We thought there was plenty of choice in the restaurants at each meal time. There was always grilled meat and fish, plenty of salads and fresh fruit as well as different dishes on themed nights. Sometimes there was a wait for the dishes to be refilled but the tables were cleared promptly and quickly relaid.
The beach at Cala Llonga is lovely. There are a few shops and a selection of restaurants to choose from. It is an easy walk down to the beach, harder coming back up in the heat. The hotel is built into the hillside with pretty gardens and would not be suitable for the less mobile.
We would like to say that you have to remember this a 2-star hotel and nowhere is perfect but we believe it represents good value for money and is ideal for families.

Don’t waste your money .
On Arrival at hotel . Just given a map at check-in . With a circle on block F . Plus a drinks token to which wasn’t explained .couldnt find our apartment. Asked a member of staff who helped us & carried our cases . In room bad smell of sewage . Bathroom mirror , which is the only 1 . Was Damaged . Tv remote didn’t work batteries had leaked ( been in years ) . Tables at bar all dirty cleaned myself with wet wipes . Food left at night till next morning . Ladder on pool loose . Broken / damaged tiles round pool . Lots of black bin bags piled up from day to next day . Cockroach.s in room . Crawling on pillows & bed . Couldn’t sleep all night after seen them . Lots of ants in room /bathroom . Food in restaurant cold . Even at opening times . Had to use microwave most times . Lots of empty food trays . Not topped up . One breakfast no fried eggs . Snack Bar women very rude /miserable . Throws plate of food at you . No menu . So it’s a guessing game. Bar big que . Only one person working at times so had to wait 10 / 15 people . One drink rule is stupidly is also the token rule . Not explained . Night entertainment rubbish . Won’t be coming back . Only Good things there is the weather & location .

A pleasant experience
Our stay at the Globales Montemar was thoroughly enjoyable. Like many others, we had our reservations after reading some of the reviews before we arrived, but we honestly had a great holiday.
The hotel did exactly what we wanted it to do, and most importantly, our 10 and 11-year-olds had an amazing time, which is what really matters. Every member of staff was extremely polite and friendly to both us and our children, and the animation team work incredibly hard every single day to keep everyone entertained.
Yes, there can be a short wait for a drink at busy times, but in our experience it was never more than five minutes, which is perfectly reasonable for an all-inclusive hotel during peak season.
I've also seen comments about the cleanliness around the pool area. In all honesty, if some guests had a little more respect and simply used the many bins provided, this wouldn't be an issue. We witnessed several occasions where parents seemed far more interested in making the most of the all-inclusive bar than keeping an eye on what their children were doing, which isn't the hotel's fault.
Don't let some of the negative reviews put you off booking this hotel. For the price you pay, it offers fantastic value for money. One final mention has to go to the air conditioning in our room—it was absolutely brilliant and made a huge difference in the heat.
