Ignore the negative reviews, great stay!
A full honest review of the Alba Seleqtta -
Arrival/Greeting - Around a 20 minute wait to get checked in. The receptionist wasn't very informative on the services and facilities eg meal times, on-site facilities, entertainment
Rooms - Immaculate rooms that were cleaned daily with fresh towels every day. Topped up complimentary soaps, shower gels & shampoos. A fridge was available in the room but no kettle. Kettles can be loaned from reception with a refundable deposit of 20 euros ( A guest told me this )
Pool area - Perfect if you have children. 3 great spacious pools that have well maintained surroundings.
Restaurant - We went half board. Great breakfast and dinners. The food was hot and there was plenty of variety. Only problem was at peak times, you would be walking around the restaurant until a table would become available - this could be managed better.
Entertainment - Very basic. If you enjoy evening entertainment, I would recommend going into the town centre or beach front.
Overall, a wonderful stay at the Alba Seleqtta, will definitely recommend and visit again.

Cockroaches everywhere – avoid this hotel!!
The worst experience of my life. I strongly do NOT recommend this hotel!
This hotel is literally infested with cockroaches. We saw them everywhere: in the spa area, in the hallways, and even right outside the door of our room.
When we first saw a cockroach in the spa on the ground floor, we immediately informed the reception staff. They reacted as if it was completely normal. They simply apologized, but did absolutely nothing to solve the problem.
The final straw was finding another cockroach right outside our room. At that point, we asked to be moved to another hotel and requested to speak with the manager. Instead, the staff ignored us for almost a day and a half. There was neither a manager nor a director available at the hotel.
Only after we contacted Booking.com and reported the situation did a hotel representative finally arrive. Instead of apologizing and trying to resolve the issue, she told us that cockroaches in hotels in Spain are “completely normal.” When she ran out of arguments, she said, “You should actually be grateful that I came, because today is my day off.”
After a long and stressful discussion, wasting a great deal of our vacation time and causing us unnecessary stress, we were finally moved to another hotel.
Unfortunately, by then our holiday had already been completely ruined.
I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone. If you want to avoid poor hygiene, indifferent staff, and a complete lack of professionalism, stay as far away from this place as possible.

Well worth booking
We travelled as a family of six – four adults and two children – and honestly found the hotel to be much better than many of the reviews suggested.
The hotel is located just a few minutes' walk from the beach. There is a hill to walk up on the return journey, but it is very manageable. We are all in our 50s and had no problems at all.
There are three swimming pools, which were more than adequate for the number of guests. The only drawback is that the main pool only has ladder-style access rather than gradual walk-in steps, which may be difficult for guests with limited mobility. The hotel would benefit from investing in easier access steps.
Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Check-in was a little slow as there was only one member of staff on reception, but she was lovely, welcoming and clearly doing her best to look after everyone.
We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis, which suited us perfectly as we enjoy eating out in different places each day. Breakfast was excellent, with a huge selection including bacon, eggs cooked in various ways, breads, cold meats, fish, fruit and pastries. There was genuinely something for everyone, along with fruit juices and even free-flowing sparkling wine at breakfast. Friends we met were staying all-inclusive and said the buffet meals were very good, freshly cooked and offered plenty of choice.
The only area that disappointed us was the entertainment. We enjoyed the belly dancing evening, but overall it was fairly limited. The disco mainly consisted of entertainment staff playing a playlist with very little interaction with guests. We chose to stay out most evenings as it wasn't really worth returning to the hotel for the entertainment. Investing in better live entertainment would encourage more guests to stay in the hotel during the evenings and would likely increase bar and food sales.
Would I stay at the Alba Seleqtta again if I visited Lloret de Mar? Absolutely. With a little more investment in entertainment, this would be a fantastic hotel and one that I would happily recommend.

Will not be returning

Very disappointed. When we walked in the staff were rude. We were sent to our rooms which had no electricity in until an hour later when we asked multiple times. The hotel isn’t representative of the pictures pool is tiny. Only a few sunloungers available. Hotel & bedrooms were dirty. Food was nice if you’re happy with having the same thing each time. Hotel entertainment was late. You can only order certain drinks if full board. I never write reviews but felt this really took away from our experience & will not return ever.

Family vacation
A good choice to pick this hotel, recommended for quality and price. The facilities are very well maintained, highlighting the quality of the buffet, the quality product cooked with love, something that unfortunately is rarely seen, special mention to the kitchen team, to Pablo from entertainment, a charm with our little one, to Assia for her care and attention to us and for putting strawberries for our little one at every meal, the only thing that could be improved is the lack of experience and professionalism of some service members, their lack of interest and knowledge was evident. For everything else, we would return without a doubt.
