Great stay, we had our room upgraded and the place is massive and with strong a/c. Breakfast buffet was great too. Plenty of selection and all so fresh. Location is just 7mins walk to Cala Major beach.

Poor value for money.

The views were spectacular since our room was on the 7th floor.
That is the only pretty and good thing.
Very expensive price just for lodging and no breakfast.
We wanted to have something at the pool and the bar was temporarily closed.
There were also no drink machines to be able to buy something.
The room had sand on the floor everywhere.

Didn't inform us of construction work

4 days before travelling (with a baby) I stumbled across a review mentioning major construction work.
I called the hotel and they confirmed this was the case, and it wouldn't be suitable for a baby.
They offered a sister hotel nearby which, frankly, didn't look nice.
We opted for a refund, and were lucky to find alternative accommodation at very short notice (albeit much more expensive).
Refund took best part of 6 weeks to come through.

Bad experience. Hotel not currently fit for guests.

Unfortunately, the hotel was undergoing extensive construction work and was not in a suitable condition to accommodate guests. The exterior of the building was covered in scaffolding, and the surrounding hotel grounds resembled a building site, with rubble, waste, and ongoing works. Rooms directly opposite ours had builders working throughout the day, which caused significant noise and disruption.
We were also unable to use the pool or sit outside on the hotel terrace. Reception informed us this was because it was not yet “in season,” however nearby hotels had their pools open and guests were using them. It was clear that the outdoor areas were unavailable due to the construction work.
The rooms themselves were also in poor condition. The bathroom ceilings had peeling paint, mirrors were rusty, and the bedroom curtains had holes which allowed sunlight through. We were unable to enjoy the balcony because of the unpleasant view and constant noise. In addition, a hair was found in my breakfast one morning. The hallways and stairwells were dirty and covered in dust.
On our final day, a nearby hotel kindly allowed us to use their pool on the condition that we purchased lunch and drinks. This cost approximately €140 for the four of us. This was an unnecessary expense that could have been avoided had the facilities at our own hotel been available. Throughout the trip, we were forced to spend additional money at other venues because we could not comfortably relax at the hotel. The hotel bar was not even open.
One of my friends, Rosie Riddell, was also extremely upset after being whistled at and catcalled by builders while walking to the shop. As four women staying at the hotel, this made us feel very uncomfortable and unsafe during our stay.
Additionally, only a few hours after checking out, we saw builders working on the exact rooms we had stayed in, which further supports that the rooms were not in a suitable condition for guests.
Overall, the experience was extremely upsetting and disappointing. We had saved for this trip and were looking forward to a relaxing holiday, but the condition of the hotel significantly affected our stay. It is unacceptable that at no point before arrival were we informed that the hotel was undergoing major construction works. Had we been made aware, we would have arranged alternative accommodation, as access to a pool and outdoor seating were important factors in our booking.
