Great hotel and staff was amazing! Noise on a Saturday night on the second story at street level almost was unbearable(outdoor noise being people and loud cars)

Loud location and light security features

This Marriott sub-brand was clean and the staff was nice. Flat rate parking is available at a local self park by arrangement with the hotel (so you pay the hotel, not the parking attendant which was nice).
The building is a converted apartment building and the rooms are very “city” sized. But most importantly, this location is very loud. The windows do very little to block the substantial vehicle noise from the street. Add to that, the bottom floor is a happening bar/club with above average noise from revelers making its way easily through the walls and windows.
We were exhausted and got to sleep but this is definitely not for light sleepers.
Also, there were unhoused people frequently in the vestibule and the elevator had no security features (no key card required to access upper floors).

I enjoyed my stay - I did want to point out the tripping hazard heading into the front doorway - the small step while it has a sticker on it to point it out - is dangerous and poorly lit at night. I tripped and was shaken up and a bit bruised. I think this is something that should be fixed.

The rooms looked bigger on the pictures on the website. Me and my wife room was definitely too small. Not enough room to move around or unpack. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The room was clean. Wifi service was terrible. No microwave, refrigerator or iron in the room. The location was great.

First and foremost the staff was absolutely SPECTACULAR. So friendly and knowledgable and accommodating. The property itself is perfectly fine, just a bit lack luster for the price. I booked a "Superior Queen" room and was given a tiny room with a full size bed. The AC was very cold! Great location! And, once again, amazing staff!
