A piece of heaven on earth

My wife and I had a wonderful staycation at the Villa. Gina and Don were friendly, attentive, and flexible. The mansion is stunningly beautiful and the ambiance transported us far from the daily grind. It’s easy to imagine that you are in a villa in Italy. Breakfasts exceeded expectations. Snacks, including homemade banana nut bread, and a large variety of beverages are always available. HVAC and shower temperatures could have been better but those issues pale in comparison to the total experience. The mansion was built in the 1870’s so retrofitting can’t be perfect. Our stay, however, was close to perfect. The room was quiet and the bed was comfortable, outfitted with ample pillows. The location of the villa could not be better for exploring Chicago away from downtown shopping districts. We will return. Highly recommended!

The whole facility including the room was very clean,The bed was very comfortable and I slept well.The breakfast both days was very tasty,nutritious,and fully satisfying.I received no email with my access code to the property and the room,I followed another guest into the property and she knew how to contact the owners.After talking to them I got the code and everything was just fine.I enjoyed unlimited access to the kitchen and all the foods that were provided.Nice location-safe neighborhood-easy to get to attractions.Transport readily available.

Fabulous time

Excellent stay, our first time. Have stayed at lots of B&B’s but have never had such a selection of fabulous food available 24/7. Gina, Don, Rosa, Brooke and others were so very helpful during our stay. We stayed in the Milano on the 3rd floor. Very clean and beautiful. Will definitely stay there again.
Walking distance to lots of great restaurants and shopping.

Gina and staff were warm and friendly. When our toilet clogged, we got upgraded. When we needed a delayed checkout, they accommodated. We had a fire for a cold night and got delicious eggs and crispy bacon for breakfast. Highly recommend for those lovers of all things Italian.
