Very European Feel
I loved this hotel! If I return to Miami Beach, I will definitely stay there again. It was small and quaint and quiet which I appreciated. It was also one block from Collins Avenue where all of the shops and restaurants are. Plenty of places to walk to for meals or drinks. Very nice staff, hotel is exceptionally clean.

Can’t recommend this unfortunately
⭐ 1/5 — Extremely disappointing experience and zero response from management
We specifically traveled to Café du Salon at the Cadet Hotel because Google Maps showed the café as open until 6:00 PM. We paid for an Uber and arrived at approximately 3:45 PM, only to be told by a staff member that the café was closing within TWO MINUTES because there were no customers.
So apparently the advertised opening hours don’t necessarily mean the café will actually be open.
But the worst part wasn’t even the wasted trip.
Since we had already ordered our return Uber, we sat quietly in the hotel lobby to wait for it. A few minutes later, the same staff member approached us, asked whether we were hotel guests, and, after we explained that we’d come specifically for the café and were simply waiting for our ride, told us we needed to leave within five minutes.
Imagine making a special trip to a hotel café during its advertised business hours, being turned away because staff decided to close more than two hours early, and then being made to feel as though you’re not even welcome to sit quietly in the lobby while waiting for the Uber taking you away.
Meanwhile, another member of staff at reception appeared more interested in his phone than in helping with the situation.
What makes this especially disappointing is what happened afterward. I contacted the hotel’s General Manager, Verónica De León, directly to explain the experience and give management an opportunity to address it privately. I also called the hotel and left a message for Dr. Vilma Biaggi, including my email address, requesting a response.
No response from either of them.
I followed up.
Still no response.
That, to me, says as much about the customer-service culture as the original incident.
I wasn’t asking for anything unreasonable. An acknowledgment, explanation, or simple apology would have gone a long way. Instead, we were turned away during the café’s advertised opening hours, asked to leave while waiting for transportation, and then ignored when the matter was raised with management.
There are far too many excellent hotels and cafés in Miami Beach to spend your time and money somewhere that makes prospective customers feel like an inconvenience.
Based on our experience, I cannot recommend Café du Salon or Cadet Hotel.

A good choice
Hotel furnished in "Art Deco" style where small concerts take place during the year. Central location Miami Beach within 15 minutes walk. Excellent value for money.

Pass on this hotel and def. Room 117
Do not stay in room 117…cold shower, the twin beds have plywood bottoms that just look in finished and like they don’t care.
I didn’t make a big deal about the shower being cold and when checking out I simply mentioned to the front desk lady about it, not mad just more informative and she told me I had hot water it was wild and funny. I said I’ve been showering for 43 years and I think I know what hot vs. cold showers feel like.
I also found fake eye lashes in my bed!
Two best things about the hotel is the cafe connected to it and location to where our conference was.

Don’t make the same mistake I did
We like boutique Hotels and picked the Cadet Hotel in Miami for 4 nights. As we were staying for four nights we booked a junior suit room.
This probably the worst decision I have ever made when booking a hotel.
While the staff were friendly the Hotel was totally dismal.
The main problem we had,however, was the room. For a junior suit it was minute and the bathroom was minuscule . The bedroom was not big enough to swing a mouse in and this was made worse by the fact that whoever then designed the room choose style over practicality . For example there was a Japanese tea set taking up space on one wall. This was for decoration only, there was no tea or coffee making capability in the room. There was a desk and a chair but no draws for our clothes . Consequently our two cases had to be on the floor restricting even more the available space. In addition the Hotel was not as clean as it should have been. In the four days we were there , our bathroom was not cleaned. In addition the floor of both the bathroom and bedroom were not clean.
I could go on but I would just recommend that anyone thinking of staying in this Hotel to think again.
