A World Cup-worthy getaway
Our stay at the Oceanside Hotel was by far even better that we hoped for. The staff was super friendly, attentive, polite, and professional, while the facilities and the rooms were exactly as depicted on their website and social media accounts: AMAZING. The AC's worked properly; housekeeping kept everything impeccable and by no means tampered with our belongings... they took care of our trash even when we left behind a few empty Pizza Hut boxes. Wi-fi was also great, along with the TV service.
The water's temperature and pressure was amazing and we always had enough shampoo, body wash, and body lotion. There was a slight drainage smell in one of our two bathrooms... but c'mon, it's a toilet on a trip and it covered our basic needs.
We arrived on Friday the 12th during the afternoon, had a super hearty and tasty lunch at "The Tavern at Oceanside Hotel", spent most of the time taking pictures at Miami Beach (which is a short walk away from the hotel) until sundown, then went for dinner, and hit the sack.
On Saturday morning we got another amazing meal at The Tavern and went on exploring around Miami. At first, we were a bit concerned that the Uber fares would skyrocket... but we got another friendly surprise, since the fares were quite reasonable (from $15 to max. $30 USD, depending on the distance), and our driver was kind enough to recommend us which places to visit first and which tours to take/avoid both on Saturday and Sunday, since we shared the schedule that we had planned before we arrived.
We visited Bayside Marketplace, took a boat tour to enjoy the Miami skylines and cruise around the homes of many celebrities. We also visited the FIFA Fan Festival 2026 was also taking place nearby. Later on the weekend we also visited Brickell City Centre, Wynwood Art Walk, Palm Court District Design, Ocean Drive during the night (for the amazing art déco buildings and their neon signs), and a FIFA World Cup match at the Hard Rock Stadium.
Tuesday morning was our farewell moment with the hotel and its staff. Everyone at the Miami International Airport was great too, whatever we needed or asked, they delivered.
This is as much as I can compress this wonderful experience, since I really loved EVERYTHING and I'm definitely looking very forward to stay again at Oceanside Hotel for my next Miami visit.

Horrible
This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The room was dirty, moldy, and there were cockroaches inside. Because of the unacceptable conditions, I was promised a refund, but instead they continued charging my card afterwards. One transaction was refunded, but they still kept taking money later without proper explanation.
On top of that, my email address was somehow blocked, making communication almost impossible. The management is completely unprofessional, and the woman at the reception was shouting aggressively instead of helping resolve the situation.
I would never recommend this place to anyone. The hygiene standards are terrible, customer service is disrespectful, and the entire experience felt dishonest and stressful.

Great value, nice rooms, weird layout, bit of noise
Hotel was a comfortable stay. My flight arrived early so I went to the hotel a couple hours before check-in. They were kind enough to let me check check in that early. The room was nice and well kept. I would say that it was interesting that in order to get to the tower I was in, I had to enter and exit through a restaurant to get to the stairs to my floor. That said, the room was good, the TVs were smart TVs, and linens were clean. The noise was a little tough as walls were pretty thin. There was also some kind of drilling or construction going on in the room next-door to mine during the day. The location was also somewhat close to buses, and while the Miami and Miami Beach bus systems were a bit inconsistent (obviously not the hotel’s fault), the location was good. Overall very good value and would certainly consider staying again.

Don`t take the included (optional) breakfast. You always receive the standard breakfast (eggs). We stayed for 10 days and decided because of the poor service and the same breakfast every day to eat somewhere else.
Here on the booking website they promise you free drinks. That is not the case. They just offer a special drink (only alcohlic one) that changes during a 1 hour happy hour. Then, they change the time of the happy hour without announing, so that you may miss it or that it simply does not fit into your planning anymore.

Security Deposit Still Not Refunded
Unfortunately, my experience reflects what many other guests have already reported in previous reviews.
My husband and I stayed in Room 1113 and checked out early on June 1, 2026, leaving the room in good condition and without any damages or outstanding charges. At check-in, a security deposit of approximately USD 100 was charged to our card.
Despite multiple attempts to obtain information, we have still not received the refund or a clear explanation regarding when it will be processed.
What is most concerning is that, after reading other reviews, I realized that several guests have reported similar issues involving delayed or missing security deposit refunds. This suggests that my case may not be an isolated incident.
The hotel itself has a good location, but transparency regarding security deposits and refund timelines is essential. Guests should not have to spend weeks or months following up to recover money that rightfully belongs to them.
I hope management addresses this issue promptly and improves communication with guests regarding deposit refunds.
