The Rover is definitely the place to stay if you plan on visiting Calle Ocho. The Rover is within walking distancing, in a safe neighborhood, and conveniently located to almost anything you may need. The Rover has easy directions for access to your room and outside doors, the establishment is clean, quiet, and has a relaxing outside seating area. This was my third stay at The Rover and I definitely plan to stay there again.

There was no one on site… I needed to use the pull-out sofa for my father. I could not pull it out. They had construction work going on and they started before 7 AM on a Sat. Morn. It was bad enough that I heard the music from the business behind the property until about 3:30AM. The construction was going on in the same init that had issues two yrs ago. I liked the property the previous time I was there but it was not the same. No breakfast was available and no one on site to help with the bed… noise. Disappointing! We did not stay for our second night. It wasn’t worth it.

There is no staff which is no big deal but after booking you learn that parking is extra and costs more than the airport. The neighborhood is loud all night and the hallway is noisy as you will hear every guest come and go. Constant sleep interruptions. Interesting concept but not working in this location.

The hotel itself was nice, a staff member was helpful during check in on the property. Unfortunately, we were told we would have a reserved parking spot (we agreed to pay the $50) but there was no available parking. Drove around for an hour looking for parking nearby, and most places only allow up to 3 hour parking so we were reliant on having a reserved spot. Overall, good stay but the parking situation was frustrating.

A Nightmare, not a hotel, no service, dirty and loud environment making sleep impossible.

This is one of the worst hotel experiences ever. This is not a hotel but like a college dorm room. There are absolutely no services. The most difficult check-in process ever. Hard to reach the person making the property by phone and when reached was absolutely rude. The property is in a dangerous part of town and there is no parking. The bathroom was dirty with hair of the shampoo bottle. Guests next door were loud and it made difficult to sleep. I have filed a formal complaint with Hyatt and Mr. & Mrs. Smith Hotels to have the property investigated and removed from their brands. Avoid at All Costs.
