Good but can be better

Very nice place! The scenery was beautiful, and the breeze was strong — almost too active, haha. However, when we arrived, we were told that our hut was already occupied, even though we had reserved it two days earlier and had sent the payment receipt, which they acknowledged! After some back-and-forth, they realized it was an internal communication mistake and eventually let us into our hut.
What really annoyed me, though, was the attitude of the lady at the counter. What was her issue? The bathrooms were dirty, with dead bugs and dust everywhere — and there was no toilet paper. On the bright side, the water was nice and not too cold.
I ordered a pasta, and my friend ordered hers a few minutes later. The same lady then said to her, “Why didn’t you order earlier with your friend?” Excuse me? So what if she ordered later? That’s not the kind of customer service I was expecting. The pasta was tasty tho.
And one last thing — they never have change. Ever. If this is a recurring issue, maybe start your day with a proper cash float, right? Ugh.

Overbridge River Resort

We arrived here in the evening and in the dark you have no idea where you will end up. Luckily we were able to sit right at the table. The order had unfortunately gone wrong. Our cottage was at the very end and was very soberly decorated. The bathroom was not very clean but it was still doable for us. Nice view of the beach from the veranda. The pool was a kind of river pool with infinity pool. Sounds great but feels broody and not clean. It feels like an abandoned holiday resort from days gone by. Everything seems to be empty. The friendliest woman of the Resort took us (2x) to the road for our next transfer. After 2 nights we had seen it here.

A little faded glory. The cottage where we stayed was fine, unfortunately we were after 2 nights under the rash of bites. Probably something was in the mattresses.
The food in the restarant was reasonable. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Yes, it is.

Many of the other reviews are correct, but we spent a pleasant day here with nice lunch. Special atmosphere, hardly anyone on this slightly rainy morning, but an excess of signs and prohibitions. Piles of forest giants felled in the distance and a mysterious Chinese encampment on the way to it.

Old, dirty itch

It is a large complex which was 95% vacant. Depressing environment because the place is very outdated. The cottages are clean in themselves, but the previously made stains on doors and windows are still there. Condensation on the windows.
Shower water is hot though.
The kitchen unit is minimal, you have to bow your head because otherwise you will bump your head. Mold in the bathroom.
The tiles around the pool have been removed, what is now there is a kind of crumbled concrete. The water in the pool looked clean but because everything is so outdated, we were afraid to go in.
On the beach are remnants of beach houses. Sunbeds are rickety and there is a lot of waste.
In the water near the pool by the river floated an oily layer.
We arrived late (19.00) and had called because the restaurant will close.
They were kind enough to stay open for a while.
We had ordered pasta but did not eat it, it did not taste, it cost 430 SRD pp. quite pricey.
There is really nothing to do in the area.
It was planned that we would come back here after a few days but we cancelled this.
