Great spot for an overnight stay. Good bar and food. Spacious underground car park. Very pleasant and friendly staff

A hotel without air conditioning in the hottest summer of all time!
The night at Moxy Sion was by far the worst hotel experience I have ever had within the Marriott group. Despite summer temperatures, the room was nearly 30 degrees, and the air conditioning could not be adjusted. Sleep was out of the question.
As a Marriott Bonvoy Platinum member, I stay more than 50 nights a year in Marriott hotels, including often in Moxy hotels, so I know what to expect in terms of amenities and comfort in Moxy hotels. That is why I expect a certain minimum standard – especially the ability to individually regulate the room temperature. That this is not possible in this hotel is completely incomprehensible and unacceptable to me.
I book hotels to relax while traveling. If a hotel cannot even provide the conditions for a restful night, it misses its actual purpose. This was by far the worst experience I have ever had in a Marriott hotel. I will avoid this hotel in the future and unfortunately cannot recommend it.

Our air-cooling system is according to the Swiss law on the natural cooling system using groundwater. Article 382/1 lays down the requirements for room air temperature and other comfort features. The room temperature is automatically set according to the outside temperature and opening the window automatically switches off the cooling system. The is not an air-conditioning system but a natural method which was put in place with the goal of helping reduce the effects of climate change. Good experience, good stay.
2-night stay at the Moxy Sion Hotel. Overall satisfied with this stay even though we had to deal with an unexpected situation.
Positive points:
- Nice hotel, beautiful, well-located, clean, and well-maintained.
- Pleasant, functional, spacious, clean room.
- Clean, practical restroom.
- Staff is quite nice, even if not very talkative...
- Small welcome cocktail offered.
- Underground parking, secure, with wide spaces (thank you!). Points to review / negatives:
- We chose this hotel, among other reasons, because the advertisement stated it had parking. However, the parking is not accessible in the reservation... A rental fee per night must be added. This was not anticipated and especially not what was indicated in the advertisement. Not a big deal in itself, as the parking is great and we were only there for 2 nights... but I encourage the establishment to be more transparent... directly indicate that the reservation does not include parking. (to avoid surprises).
- We did not include breakfast in the reservation, as it was listed at 21 CHF/person. On-site, it was offered to us and since the price was indeed as advertised, we declined. I was alone with two children (who do not eat much)... 63.00 CHF for breakfast is outrageous even for adults (in my opinion).
Overall, this establishment is very good, very beautiful, clean, and well-located in a quiet area. The car is safe. Top top! Deserves a 5, but I could have rated it a bit higher than 4.

I had booked one room with one double bed but got one very small room with separated beds and with two languages difficult to move around and with wardrobe, refrigerator, etc. Cooling was also very bad.
The room was not cleaned. Although the bed was made and towels were changed.
The body soup was empty and never been filled.
Despite the fact upon booking I had chosen breakfast included and Hotels.com informed that the parking was included and tax were paid, I had to pay both breakfast, parking and city tax (64 CHF + 168 CHF =232,00 CHF ) = 2864 SEK.
The breakfast was very limited and poorest I have ever seen.
Management did not do anything to correct.
I would not recommend this hotel. It’s not worth money and stars it market itself.

Convenient to highway
If you know what you're getting with a Moxy property, you'll come with appropriate expectations. Rooms are small, but clean.
Unlike typical Swiss hospitality, staff seemed very indifferent and limited. For example, we had to wait about 10 minutes for someone to come and check us in because the person at the bar (where Moxy check-in almost always is) could not do it.
Breakfast was basic, but in line with any Moxy. As others have said, birds were in the dining room that had gotten inside.
Parking is limited, and the lot was full when we arrived. That said, we were able to park on the street behind the hotel.
