It was nice and for the pride the room was worthy. Is a room for party people because the noise there is unbearable until 3 minimum.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS
We arrived in Patong Beach yesterday, our third stop through Thailand. We planned a budget friendly hotel stay for the month long trip and when we picked this hotel it looked standard accommodation which is what we were looking for. We paid when we arrived to check in (£120 for 4 nights) and got passed our key and that was it. We went to look for our room (no lift but that was fine for us) and found our room. As soon as we opened the door we were greeted with the strongest damp, foist smell. The room looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in months and genuinely thought there would be bed bugs in the bed it was that grotty. Opened the fridge to find a dead lizard... packed our bags up and left

Stayed here last night after booking it on Agoda.com.
We paid £24 uk for a twin room for the night.
It's a 4 minute walk to Bangla Rd, which was the main reason we chose this place.
The photos on Agoda.com are misleading to say the least. It shows an impressive swimming pool and sun lounging area.
When you arrive at the hotel they tell you that you can use the opposite hotels pool and they don't actually have a pool themselves !
Room 202 smelled a bit, looked clean but needed an airing. Fridge freezer, flat screen tv, ensuite, wardrobes etc.
Another downside for us was, the hotel was in a courtyard that was surrounded by gay bars and nightclubs. Hoards of homosexuals parading around at all hours. Funny to look at them at first, glad I wasn't staying there for any longer than one night. But if you're a homo, this will be paradise for you no doubt !

So-so
I called up the hotel and the staff who answered could only understand very basic English. The hotel is a 10-15 minute walk to Patong Beach and is near Royal Paradise Hotel. The area is filled with a lot of gay bars. The stairs and floor needed cleaning as there was litter. The 'second floor' rooms are actually on the third, third floor rooms on the fourth, and so on. Not for travelers who have difficulty negotiating stairs. The second floor has 2 doors which have no number so the guest rooms start on the third. Waste baskets are unlined. I requested to look into other rooms and saw some mold on the ceiling. Wifi available on the first floor only, and it would intermittently work.
On the upside, it has a quaint coffee shop on the first floor. Guests can use the very nice pool of the more upscale Royal Paradise hotel.

Great pool
We spent at this hotel for three nights. First we just went there and tried to bargain better price, 'cause they were asking more (1000 BHT / night) than if we book from booking.com. Finally we asked for wifi-code and booked a room from booking.com. It was 600 BHT cheaper than they offer. Pretty weird.
We had standard room.
There was no elevator. Room was on the third floor. It was small but cozy. There was no balcony (even though in the pictures there were). There was a terrace on the rooftop where was nice to hang out.
Hotel pool was in the other hotel (The Royal Paradise Hotel & Spa) but it was amazing! Really great place, like a lagoon inside a jungle! And there was also a bar in the pool! Though the prices were quite expensive (coctails 190 BHT and 0.5 water bottle 70 BHT) but they had Happy hours from 5pm. to 6 pm. when you got two drinks paying only one! That was nice.
Location was great! It was close to Jungceylon-market and Bangla road!
Hotel situated at the gay-bar street so if you are scared of them, don't go! =)
